Madge was pretty notoriously a hard arse, everyone talks about Ivans high standards. Just saying weve heard it before. Not against the doco really, just taking it with a grain of salt until it translates to consistent on field results.

I literally just had a conversation about this with a mate . Sometimes whether it’s fair or not C the person delivering the message can have as big of an influence as the message itself . You could be delivering the cure to cancer , but if they’ve tuned you out , or there’s elevator music going on when you talk , doesn’t matter what you say . I reckon that’s Madge biggest issue . Not originally , it definitely over time . Like a missus/ bloke who never stops complaining ; you just tune her/his frequency out .

Who’s replacing Chester?
Saw them ar Soundwave years ago . Surprisingly the best band on the day. I very mistakenly always thought they were a manufactured rock band for commercial reasons on the back of nu-metal .Boy was I a wanker ! They were amazing .

The broader point Benji is making around the time for talk being over is right, but I do think ive seen this movie before...

There’s been a few high profile examples of Benji following through, since Richo joined the fray. Hope SM backs him too.

After a long road back from injury, Adam Doueihi reflects on what it means to finally complete his first full pre-season since his debut year.

We also go behind the scenes with Taylan May, as he works through a hamstring rehab session with the club’s performance staff, while new recruit Kai Pearce-Paul experiences his first full training session with the squad — and gives his early verdict on Sydney coffee.

With the full roster now assembled, the intensity lifts as preparations for the season ahead continue.

I get a feeling Benji will be a great unlock for KPP.

If he can get him confident and playing to his strengths - we'll see a lot of good play around him. Hope we have players lurking around him.

KPP seems like a potential great player , he needs to drive his knees into defending players

A chick has replaced Chester. But let's be honest, no one can replace him.
 
Benji hit the nail on the head at the end. Leadership by example is only one way to get it done and there is a time and a place for it. It is not the most effective leadership though. Getting your team to act as one is much more powerful.

Leadership is more than being fit and having a loud voice - it is about strength in the mind and putting your mates first each and every time.

While you need to understand your limits and push towards them; it is your mates looking after and helping to drive you that gets you there.

I know other teams also do this same exercise - but Benji's "discussion" at the end is driving them in the right direction and is good to see.

,but that lovey dovey stuff has been floating around in the general public / work place the last 15 years.
Turn the cameras off ,DaddyBenjie should tweak a few ear lobs and tell some truths
hope the hierarchy comes to their senses ,sooner than later
