It amazes me the topic of the tigers on talk sport revolves around people complaining we got rid of GIBBS and FIFITA .

Ive been on this forum for a long time and remember all the bagging of GIBBS being a lightweight frontrower , getting owned , making no metres and we need a big go forward metre eater to replace him and now . i thought the same things but his last 2 seasons have been great and tigers made a decision and moved him on . In hindsight wish we kept him but listen to the radio u would think GIBBS was our greatest front rower we have ever had .

With Fifita all the stats ppl came up with about him being lazy and reported bad attitude and discipline u hardly hear about that anymore , I was glad he went and wanted BLAIR, i agree not for that money but someone come up with a stat that he is 10kg lighter at the tigers cos i remember him as a heavyweight frontrower at the storm . Stuff this mobile forward crap get him heavier and give him breaks .Look id hate to be in recruitment and deal with all the details and hard decisions that they make but name a side that every yr doesnt make dud recruitment decisions

Graeme Hughes will never say a bad word about Sheens…..he needs the Kangaroos coach.
Tunks was not to kind though

Someone rang, mentioned his finals appearances stats, mentioned yesterdays performance, Hughes response was "Why didnt you call last week"?

John Gibbs likewise on 2UE....."I dont think you can blame Sheens for yesterday"

Teflon Tim....untouchable

True to an extent, can't blame Sheens for those errors and some poor ref decisions. Can't really blame him for simple missed tackles either. You can blame him for things like the Raiders game at C-town when they just went around our defensive structure (very surprised more teams havn't done it). Some of his team selections are also poor and I just fee a change could do us good

No sheens doesn't miss tackles and drop the ball but he continuously picks the same under performing players that do week after week. Because he is mates with them. It is fair dinkum embarrassing

Specifically, yes….but all the callers are talking big picture, not just yesterday.....but the point is the nadless hosts, Sheens' mates in Gibbs & Hughes....brush it off

Im done.....I will not attend another game whilever we continue to not have a go.....

Yesterday was a disgrace...why should I make an effort, fork out my $$$$ if the players cant be eft???

STUFF EM!!!

Hughes is at least good in that he will let you have your say even if he disagrees with you, however like every media personality he has his agendas and very rarely changes his opinion. Also like most of the media sheens has him in his back pocket.

Tunks plays the clown but when it comes to footy is very rational and isn't pig headed enough to change his opinion if he sees fit.

It totally drains your enthusiasm it does. We talk about the players feeling stale, well i feel stale supporting. Not only would a change breathe new life into the club, but im sure it would breathe new life throughout the entire supporter base

the coaching merry go round always bothers me . Sheens was blamed for the cowboys not performing they replaced him and they still didnt perform and still are just up and down team had about 3 good years .
Parramatta sacked smith and the rest of th coaches
Still i agree Sheens supports underperfoming players to much but i still havent heard of a great coach that is ready to replace him at the end of the day we were about 2-3 wins away from accepting a decent season . Look at wat canberra were going to do with Furner now hes a good coach ??

Dermo I understand what you are saying , but you can blame him when they miss simple tackles ,arm grab and don't put the shoulder in because what you do is bench them for the rest of the match and give them what in the dressing room ,preferably in front of the rest of the team and even let them sit in NSW Cup Other coaches do it ,why can't Sheens

you have the softly softly approach of Sheens and your have the fire and verbal approach of Hasler,Toovey and Bellyache.

I wonder what approach works???????????

Did anyone see Bellamy giving his players an absolute spray at halftime last night?

According to Kimmorley on Fox, Sheens was "calm" at halftime on Sunday and told the players to just complete their sets and the game would turnaround. :brick:

Just once I want to see Tim rip a door off its hinges…show some passion man!!

Get Tommy in,he might not be great, but he inspires passion, and blokes want to play for him,he would be a great assisstant to to a coach out of ideas.

Just to keep things in perspective for those who didn't listen. Graeme Hughes said he can't criticise a coach who's team effectively beat the bulldogs last week, are only 2 wins from the top 4, have had major injury disruptions and lost their halfback through no fault of their own and in such a tight competition.
He also reminded us that everyone was calling for Dave Furners head only a month ago, now they sit in the finals.

I think he was implying that the failure is more to do with the players and the injuries then the coach.

Whole sale changes are never the way to go, a big part of our problem this year has been lack of continuity. Just look how much having a settled spine has helped the blues this year, and how much it has affected us. We can't abuse Sheens for having a million different halves pairings and then in the same breath call on him to drop every player who misses a tackle.

canberra are in the finals due a lot to us being crap.

Hughes never looks at the big picture, he looks at last games etc etc when you start taljking 6,7,8,10…15 seasons

I hate apologists, weak and bendable
