3 2 1 v Sharks

3. Twal - 80 mins at lock huge
2. Garner - Try saving tackle, scored a try, just looked a class NRL 2nd rower and thats great
1. Grant - Hooker in his first full FG game and 3rd overall just looked class - his passing was beautiful and it made so much difference as did his defence

Everyone though played well could have given points to 13 blokes

3 - Luke Brooks - how good was he tonight? He showed why we missed him in the first two games.
2 - Harry Grant - this kid is special. I'll enjoy him playing here while we have him. Hopefully Cameron Smith goes on in 2021 and we can snag him on a permanent deal.
1 - Aloiai - I think it's no coincidence that we were bad while him and Mikaele were off the field. Him and Mikaele played really well.

IMO Brooks disappeared completely from 10-0 until halftime. Played good in the 2nd half though.
Garner with some great crucial tackles.

We had no ball during that time. Cronulla were all over us and were dominant.

Couldn't split Twal and Joshie, so here goes
3 Joshie/Twal
2 Grant
1 Brooks
Can't speak highly enough of the Joshie/Mikaele pairing, giving us the grunt in the middle, all meters, even Joshie's try, through the meat of the defence. Twal, huge fan of this bloke, will develop into our Finucane, just that honest effort based style. Grant, only his first game, but all the signs are good. The above take a lot of pressure of Brooks and will allow him to play his running game and attack from all angles.

3 Walters
2 Twal
1 Grant

Walters coming on gave us the spark we needed to win, Twal was a beast all the way through, Grant the hooker we've been needing for years.

Usual suspects unlucky to miss out, Benji, Brooks, Aloiai

what's with the 3 4 5?

Yeah I don't get that either

it is because you put a dot after the number 3...the forum then auto formats the numbers..

Aaah, I see. Thanks for clarifying Geo, I hadn't followed the 3/2/1's for awhile and thought the way you guys score players had evolved ?

My points:

3 Aloiai
2 Nofo
1 Grant

Official dally M votes -

3 - Benji Marshall
2 - Harry Grant
1 - Wade Graham

Benji third overall in dally m votes and first for the 5/8 position

3 Grant - he was huge and was involved in everything. His tidy up work in defence really tightened the middle, he was even making cover tackles on the wing at one point.

2 Aloiai - Was absolutely huge tonight. Our pack needs a leader, is Josh that man?

1 Brooks - Solid defensively, looked great running the ball and his kicking game was solid albeit a little boring at times.

Honourable mentions
Twal
Mikaele
Walters

Good summary, I would go with that too
