3-2-1 3 2 1 vs Cowboys

Can’t believe you all gave Luai points.
For a bloke who has seen so much success, he is a poor leader and cannot direct play. He is Robin and we really need to find Batman.
Bula Taylan, Terrell and Turuva all played well
You are very hard to please. I don't think it was jarome missing tackles on that right edge last night that led to tries. I'm one of his bigger critics. But you are constantly relentless in scapegoating him. He's not a miracle man. He put us into the lead after 16-16 and at 28-16 I wouldn't say he managed the game poorly. Perhaps if doueihi was there on the right there wouldn't have been tries conceded. The game changed when latu dropped the ball and the team were falling off tackles due to the lack of momentum. They played for 40 minutes. The other 40 they were passive. I don't think you can blame the result on him just because he's on 1.2 million. He is 1 of 17 who played and he did his job well. You know who is leading poorly? Api. Missing tackles like the one on Purdue on the first half are unforgivable. Fonua Pole has been our worst player in the past month and needs to be in reserves

3. Terrell May & Alex Twal- both lead through actions in the middle. Set the defensive tone when on. Wasn't their defence that let us down.
2. Luai- getting so much better as the season goes on.
1. Turuva, Taylan May, Sam Fainu, Bula...all were good. Skelton on his early tackle runs was good.

There really wasn't a lot of 'bad' in this game. 2 teams, up for the fight. Once Latu left the field in questionable circumstances, and players got shifted- Drinkwater took advantage of the confusion. He's a great player.

I’m not hard to please at all. In my post I named 4 guys who did exactly that.
Luai is our big name premiership player. He is our marquee. He is certainly playing better than he was for the first 3/4 of the season, but he hasn’t been great and he’s not winning us games with his leadership and playmaking.
Adam Douehi of all people has been far more influential and had a far greater impact on our performances and victories.
That game was ours today. It should not have been lost. Marquee players are paid to win these types of games.

I believe I have seen you trawling the youtube comments section crazypreyingmantis. You are right. Marquee players are paid to win these games. I've seen Nicho Hynes slot a clutch goal vs Eels in 2022. I've also seen him fail multiple times in clutch moments. I've seen Ponga win the game for Knights vs manly in golden point. I've also seen him bomb certain tries and match winning plays like the one vs Cowboys in the final last year. Drinkwater came up clutch last night, I've also seen him throw intercepts to lose games or cheap errors in crucial moments. Even guys like nathan cleary, who had a poor 2020 grand final performance and is yet to deliver in Origin. Million dollar players need the platform and consistency around them. AD is more of a halfback than luai. I would say luai was good in the first 10 rounds, very poor in June with his discipline, penalties and missed tackles, but has been much better in the past month or so. In a 3 time wooden spoon winning team it is very hard to 'carry' the team and considering he has never been a main man in his career before this year I think you are expecting very lofty standards. Did I expect better? Yes. Was I expecting him to be the saviour and hero in a flash? No. You could take any other one player in the NRL and put them in the Tigers team and their form and habits would change given a very different environment. I do get sick of the commentary on the "off the field" impact he has made because I also value on field performance, but perhaps this is laying the foundations in a rebuilding year. The most disappointing thing is the fact Luai hasn't scored a try until last night. He goes on about making players better around him, but how about making himself better firstAs much as it may disappoint you that the team is Polynesian-dominated and a so-called 'clique' this is the tightest and most cohesive Tigers lineup I've seen for a while. Maybe those two teens were removed because of their attitude or vision, not their race.
