3, 2, 1 vs Titans (Round 4)

Incredibly safe and they killed him with the high ball.

Did a couple of exciting runs too.

To come back from the disappointment of last week like this was good to see. Could have easily gone into his shell after that.
Agree coming back from a leg injury it is going to take time to build confidence, but there were some pleasing signs.

Two weeks in a row he has had an unmarked winger outside him, hogged the ball and got tackled
Rex are U agreeing with Gunner that he's not good enough for a reserve grade team?
Have you got those games recorded?
If you have, just have another squiz at those two no-tries your talking about and I'll do the same.
I think you'll find that the wingers left him with little room or options, squeezing in on him, not cutting to to inside nor were support players quick enough to respond and back him up.
I probably wrong but he's definitely better than 'not making a reserve grade team', let's have another look hey?

Surely you could see that was one of brook's worst games for us, ever. He literally cost us the game
There's no need for a stupid meltdown because others view something differently to you. It's seriously becoming increasingly difficult to measure our performances as it is.
What matters most to me in assessing the team's overall performance is a player's involvement, effort and contribution or influence on the team.

He wasn't perfect but led by example and helped set the standards.
I personally thought he was great and took charge with organising our defence - which was our best feature in the game.
We defended brilliantly up against guys like Fotuaika, Tino and Fifita.
But you're right and I'd actually like to change my 321.
3 Brooks
2 Luciano
1 Joffa.
James Roberts has shown good glimpses but noticed LL has shown a lot of improvement in defence.

Luciano is looking like a complete player these days. Our attack would look different with a fast fullback backing up his runs. Him and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow are gonna cause havoc next year.

Nth Qld building nicely.
I'll give the whole side 2 pts for effort.
If we won they would all get 3 pts including Madge and Brooks 😿

Yep just watched it, ran himself out of room, winger should have cut back inside, no support on inside, good d. Answer,
Work on this at training, can only get better as he get nrl jiggy

You mention how well we defended Fifita but that was on Madden's side of the pitch. And the others were the middles (Liddle defended quite well) Brooks only had to deal with Proctor who didn't do anything

We're never gonna see eye to eye on Brooks but I thought his defensive efforts was inspiring. The team didn't just do a good job on the players I highlighted but the halves and backline as well.
Guess Cayless should be credited for the effectiveness of improving this area too, but he's not on the field so can't really give him any points.

Brooks doesn’t get enough credit for the defensive clean up work he does.

That's how I called it during the match, but Maumalo was not fit and shouldn't have played anyway with 18th man Toa in the warm up.
