I think that if these 3 players have career best performances in 2022 we could breakthrough to the finals.
1. Zane Musgrave. Zane has flown under the radar due to injuries of late but now appears to be fit. An uncompromising no nonsense front rower who can stamp his authority in the engine room and tango with the best of the big boppers. He admits he owes the team for their faith in him but can the coaching staff extract that mongrel out of him??
2. Oliver Gildart. Oliver is an international rep player and when he's hot he's white hot, it will be interesting to see if he can bring that to the table in the NRL. The area where we were vulnerable in 2021 was letting outside backs run around us out wide, can he fix this?? Can he bring a less predictable attack to our team. Time will tell.
3. Liddle/Simpkin/Hodgson. Had to bracket these 3 because unsure who will be hooking but the tip is warming up to be Josh. If he can reproduce the form that he had when he first burst onto the scene with the raiders then we will make the play-offs, that's how much influence a modern day number 9 has on a team, his astute dummy half play keeps opposition guessing and he will bring our forwards onto the ball in the right places, he's a very smart footballer.
Obviously the whole team needs to step up big time but for now try to single out just 3 players that will make a difference between success or failure.
Thoughts?

You’re building up for a massive fall if your expectations of Gildart are that high. My lord.

In regards to Hodgson, if he can reproduce form seems to be the catch cry of 80% of our signings. Most 32 year olds coming off 2 knee reconstructions generally don’t reproduce their glory days. Again, don’t set yourself up for a fall.

Seems a lot writing off Gildart already , let’s hope he is good for us , something like a Schofield would be great

I’m hoping that with a proper off-season Gildart might come good, but on his form at Wigan this year he wouldn’t be in the team. Defensively he was below average in super league. He seems to have speed but he needs a ton of improvement.

On current form BJ is a better defender,i have very low expectations of Gildart as even at his best he was a weak defender

Yeah he spends heaps of time in the grandstand at Wigan games .....

@GNR4LIFE sometimes I wonder why you follow this club if you're so negative and pessimistic about everyone, surely it can't be good for your mental health. You continually write off every signing we make. Gildart is an England international player - regardless if he's the next coming of Christ or not he's an improvement on what we currently have.

Your pessimism is tiring, given you become condescending whenever someone disagrees with you.

That’s why I called him out about it he’s probably the most negative person on here

Why is it frustrating to you that some people think an international centre might go well?

Our season is doomed if we start with Garner and Luciano. I’ve seen more mongrel at a dog show.

Hopefully Blore transforms and grows into that edge role .

Papali'i would be a huge get

Agree mate, Blore gets plenty of raps on here, he’s still young but one game against Parra doesn’t make a player. Needs to show me more.

I like his aggression but agree his engine runs on fumes. If I was him I would be following in similar footsteps to Stefano in terms of professionalism, not Mcluciano

Stef looks to have rare natural gifts. Blore looks like a weapon, I’d love it if we had a real tearaway for him to learn his trade from. We need an enforcer.
