3 wishes for the Tigers v Dragons next week

Bug I think you're way out of line saying Groat is not putting in. I thought he was great against the Sharks (especially defensively) and while he wasn't that good against Manly you have to remember it was his first start.

He is definitely putting in.

He needs to lift his work-rate though

Can everyone please remember that Matt Groat is only 20 years and 7 days old and only played 13 NRL games (this being the first starting role)

Prop as many realize is a position that can take 4-5 years to master and Groat is still developing his motor in regards to learning about his role and what is required

Before anyone compares him to Aaron Woods , remember this Woods is a freak and will probably wearing a Blues jersey by 2013 (Qld if he really wants to) and is likely to become one of the best props since Shane Webcke or Glenn Lazarus

Give Groat two seasons to develop his engine and he will be one of the most consistant props in the game

Keep the faith guys

groat looks to get gassed pretty quickly out there.
i really think he will turn out to be a great defender for us though.he is very clean with wrapping up the ball and taking his man down for such a young age.

3 wishes
blair,show me something please.
moltzen,ditto
humble catching everything that goes up in the air towards him.

1\. Long kicks to find grass, and not the fullback or winger.

2\. Moltzen to do something, anything, to show us he can play the role of a halfback.

3\. Our forwards to dominate and smash the Dragons pack.

1\. Defend like crazy. Keep Dragons to 6 points
2\. Completion rate over 80%
3\. Build pressure at the end of sets. I want to see Dragons have to do at least 4 line drop outs (2 per half)

Great to be back into full training with the boys today!! #byebyerehab

hope to see him back there this friday, with hornby's & soward's kicking game, we are going to need height - utai would of been bombarded all night.

also just a question to all u on here, coming from a soccer background, is it that difficult to kick a footy and judge distances & direction? It just seems that most of our kicks are either mishit or we seem to find the fullbacks/wingers on the full - not too mention the ones that go dead in goal.

I guess with all the practising you would think we could be alot better than where we are at the moment….your thoughts?

1.dominate the dragons forward pack
2\. Tim Moltzen/humble/ Blair/Lawrence and farah having a blinder
3\. No injuries

1\. Ellis is fit to play
2\. The pack hunts more aggressively early in defence and gets strong go forward in attack to open it up for the backs
3\. to see attacking raids out wide using the centres more in attack

1\. A win.
2\. A win.
3\. A win.

I don't care what it takes or how we do it, if one of these come true I'll be a happy little Vegemite.

tigervicas, I note you have said you are from a soccer background, that being said, I take it you haven't had a lot to do with kicking a league ball, it's not as simple as one might think as a league ball can be unpredictable, try the different things you have mentioned with a league ball and see how it is not that easy to consistently get the ball to do what you want.

Fair point cunno, then again i heard graham arnold was helping out with the tigers and benji's kicking. Enuf said!!

By no means am i saying that it is easy, far from it…..i guess i have seen the likes of cronk and lockyer do it time and time again.

I do recall towards the back end of last season, our kicking game was awesome, perfectly weighted kicks into the in goal finding grass most times, which gave us great field position.

Hopefully with more time they will get their groove back!

Arnold is helping with Benji's goal kicking Tigervicas

Given the quality of our general field kicking I'd say Skando is working on that :unamused:

After Dean Youngs Spray and the dragons confirming they are chasing legal compensation, I want Moltzen to score 4 tries and setup another 4.

1) Attacking options out of dummy half. This should be one of the strenghts of having both Farah and Moltzen playing close to the ruck, yet we've seen virtually nothing so far.
2) Defence like we saw in the first 40 last week. 80 minutes like that and we'd be practically unbeatable.
3) No more f-ing injuries.
