I think the left side is quite capable and if given a few games together could be quite formidable. Staines, as you said, is a reasonable stop gap. The right side..... good luck.
 
Our edge forwards are probably the sell.

From the backs, Tupou is the star. Staines is handy, and probably our best fullback.

AJ's best games have been in the backrow, but we don't have many centres to pick from at the moment.

Naden IMO just needs a decent run of games to build some momentum, he has shown signs.

AD might be a good centre eventually.

Everyone else is garbage.

Naden - Centre - was on the outer at Penrith after he took an illicit substance in grand final week. Seems very injury prone and mixes some good attacking performances with a lot of errors. His inability to bust tackles is disappointing given his size.

To’a - Centre - Moved on from a disappointing Knights team and hasn’t locked down a spot at Wests Tigers, the worst backline in the NRL. Against the Eels he showed an inability to time his run on simple backline movements. It will be important the Tigers upgrade at this position.

Tupou - Winger - the shining light in the backline at the Tigers. Had a breakout game against Parramatta in just his 8th first grade game. Every Tigers fans hopes he’s not a flash in the pan, but it’s still very early.

Doueihi - Five eighth - at souths he was a backup fullback and centre and was moved on to the Tigers on a big money deal without a known position. Tried at fullback and centre and then shifted into the halves and has been inconsistent since he arrived. Unfortunately a third ACL rupture may cut short his career.

There’s no doubt this backline is holding us back and is not going to help us sign another marquee #7.

Your summaries of the players, though slightly harsh, are nonetheless fair. However, I would add that, if we had a half decent halfback, most of the players you describe would be better, even play starring roles at times. Our outside backs are totally shackled by poor play on the inside and have little opportunity to shine. Give them some clean ball and space like they were in the second half yesterday and they will show their real potential.

I think we have a decent start to a backline. There's no doubt we need a star centre and wing though which has held us back for a long time just as much as it has that we have been playing without a standard first grade halfback.

The service from the 6 and 7 has been like watching under 8's. The slow dumpy clumpy catch and pass is just embarrassing. The opposition wingers and centres are already up in their counterparts face by the time the ball finally gets over there.

Blore is just as useless as the rest of them. Never shown a thing, same Tommy Talau syndrome, no idea what they do at training and extra curricula activities in the changerooms but for some reason they are a coaches favourite.

At the money he is supposedly on i would play with every muppet known to mankind.He is part of the problem and no part of the answer imho.I have supported him over the years when i believed he was being harshly judged but i don't believe he has the slightest excuse/reason now to not perform

thankfully with the bye there's a chance Naden is back in time for Manly or Penrith. he's the right sided centre moving forward. right wing is where the biggest question mark lies. Nofo's attitude is horrendous, To'a is a reserve grader and after that we have nothing.
