4 wins from 9 - that's it

We are in the semis, worst case scenario. Once we get into the semis we are a different team. Anything is possible. Judging from history we do well in semis. So yes, if we make the 8 again I can forgive Sheens, although he is no Hasler or Bellamy. And I say that because Hasler & Bellamy fans don't have to endure an abundance of heartache. Unlike us.

we dont have that good a record in the finals… we went into the GF 1/3 times when we made finals.. both while being in top 4

that said, we do have a very good attitude in the finals

It's very true that we turn up with the right attitude and are competitive for every finals game. 2010 and 2011 series were all close games. 2005 we just walloped the opposition except for St George but we were still full in control of that game.

Anything can happen even if we finish 8th

So 28 points gets us in?
Sorry…..its not enough.....it might be, it might not...I did the predictor thingy and had us on 28 finishing 9th!!

28 point is usually around the cut off. But its a lottery, we would need results to go our way.

We cant win the comp finishing 8th.

Firstly it'll mean that our form is very patchy going into the finals and you can't just turn form on like a tap.

Secondly if we finish 8th, unlike previous years, if we do win in week 1, we wont be rewarded with a home semi the following week. So we could very well face a scenario of elimination semis from week 1 in Townsville, week 2 in Brisbane and week 3 in Melbourne.

As has been shown in the AFL with this finals system that no team from outside the top 4 has made the grand final or won a grand final in 15 years.

If we can only win 4 from our last 9 we don't deserve to be there and we won't go anywhere bar out 1st week

We need to make a statement and win at least 6 of our last 9 and finally climb out of the shadows , stop being pretenders and become a contender

Kick butt and take names later as far as I'm concerned from now on , Men or Mice ????

28 points is probably not enough - but if you use that "predictor"you are as big a gimp as those who made it!!!

Pull your inner Sheldon or Raj on the back-burner before you try to make such a ridiculous statement again about our finals record little one!!

We've proven to be a finals force when we are there!!

The Warriors got a fluke win against us last year and made the GF despite being lambs to the slaughter in the big one!

The previous year - Anasta's field-goal along with that Kenny-Dowall try cost us a game which we'd already won! They then went on to the GF!!!

We will go well if we make the finals this year - regardless of our position on the pecking order!

Do you have any idea of history you flip (I know the answer and it is a resounding NO!!)???

What team has won two GFs in a row in the last 32 years???

Aside from that magnificent Parra team (81-83) - it was Canberra (89-90) and then Brocnos (92-93) - so why the frick are your expectations so high!!

Note that the second team mentioned here enjoyed our man Timmy as coach- and aside from Parra both were one-town teams!

I remain optimistic as I can see Gareth making a huge impression in the run to the finals (a'la Hanley in 88 & Kevin Ward in 87)!

Would prefer we won 6 or 7 of those 9\. Need to get a bit of consistency & momentum going prior to the finals otherwise we will get pantsed.

We've got a great record in finals. All up we've won 6/9\. The only losses have been in golden point (Roosters), by one point (Dragons), and in the last few minutes (Warriors), and in all cases those teams went on to make the GF.

As others have said though, if we were to win only 4 of our last 9, it'd be hard to see us going far.

I would like to see our final points at the end of the regular season 30 plus. Minimum 5-6 wins from the 9 games with some decent scalps in amongst them. Ideally knock off Manly and Storm leading into the semis, that would be nice. Then the confidence is sky high and also self belief that we can beat the top teams.

28 points gets you in more often than not. This year teams 7 and 8 aren't cannon fodder either with the new system. Win 6/9 and we are probably looking at a top 4 spot so that should be the goal.

We can win them all we did it last year we won dragons and manly they were 2 top teams we can beat anyone on our day and the run will start now fire up tigers.

Penrith and Parra should be the ones we put the sword in - last year we had a relatively soft approach to the finals after the real tough games and we hammered the three bottom placed clubs. 39-12 and 31-12 vs the gold coast and the eels, and a solid 28-20(ish) win vs the Sharkies - Robbie Farah Hat-Trick from memory

We need to do it again

Penrith, Parra, Dragons, and Roosters. If our heads are screwed on, the bogey teams like the Roosters shouldn't be a problem - we just need to run through them.

Knock off the cowboys (we are their bogey side), and win one of the doggies games, and thats it - 6 wins, and a comfortable 32 points.

It's extremely do-able

As for the ladder predictor.....its not as useless as you make out, it has proved 28 pts this year may see you only get 9th....where other seasons has been different
