We take out positions…

2\. Adam Blair
11\. John Hopoate
17\. Jason Cayless
25\. Ryan O'Hara
28\. Sam Harris

We seem to be over represented here I think…not good at maths but 5 from 40 with 15 other teams tells me no good

Since we don't make many signings, our ratio of successful to unsuccessful must be quite crap.

Sure, we've had some shockers, but its an irrelevant pole. No use making a big song and dance over something that a couple journo's at RLW decided.

Tezza was terrible for the amount of games he played. When he was on the field though, he was always one of our best.

One consolation is that with the absence of signings over the next two years our % ratio of worst buys will decrease.

Except for the finger thing, I thought Hoppa played really well for us.

Agreed, both Hill and Hoppa were pretty good for us, imo, just friggin weirdos.

Terry Lamb didnt manage them well at all. He brought Tezza back from injury through the seconds.

Idk if anyone remembers, but he had a policy that any player who was out longer than 3 weeks, had to come back through reserve grade. Totally destroyed us, and it was a policy he eventually scrapped.

I'd forgotten about that, great memory. How long was he laughing about Hoppa's antics before the media got wind of it? Months?

It's good discussion material, I don't think anyone is upset about the piece itself and it is subjective.

Personally, we knew Cayless was busted when he got here, was always going to be speculative.

Yeah Hoppa was good on the field for us. If you weigh up the off field damage maybe but then again that would make Todd Carney the number 1 worst signing. Blair I'm not convinced is the second worst signing in NRL history. He's under-performed given his salary but he was okay this year and he's played pretty much every game. Sandow to Parra and that kid Cronulla paid a fortune for (Karl Falinga?) who hardly got on the field were far far worse. Martin Kennedy? Well yes his decline since leaving the Roosters is an ongoing mystery isn't it…

Rumour was that Kennedy might have been missing his special Dank herbs :astonished:
