5 Reasons...

_**Five reasons why I'm worried about this game:**_
1\. The Rorters have beaten us twice this year (three times if you include the pre-season trial).
2\. After the Dally M awards, the Rorters will be riding high on positive emotion.
3\. SKD is in great form, and we are missing Rowdy.
4\. Todd Carney.
5\. Pearce has been around longer than Lui with more big match experience (especially SOO)

_**Five reasons why I'm confident heading into this game:**_
1\. We have a perfect finals record with a core of players who've handled finals pressure before.
2\. Tim Sheens is an awesome finals coach.
3\. We will dominate crowd support.
4\. Benji. Robbie.
5\. The return of Gibbs and Fulton.

I'll take these options thanks TT…especially 4...

Roosters will be cocky.... no doubt .... probably along with the Dragons are the teams to beat.... I also think their form over the last 4 weeks has been patchy at best especially in the 2nd halves apart from the Manly game especially in Attack...

It's all positive from where I sit.
The Roosters beat us in round 2 in stifling heat in the mid 30's. It was that long ago, to be meaningless.
We had the Roosters at Campbo. They won on the bell with a kick over the top and 50/50 call that went their way. Again though, it was a long time ago, we were both different teams then.

Our form leading into Friday night is superior to theirs. last 5 - chooks: 3 losses (Sharks, Dragons, Titans) and 2 wins (a broken Manly, and the Cowboys). Wests Tigers: 2 losses (Wabbits and Titans) and 3 wins (Parra, Melbourne and Penrith).

Go the mighty Tigers.

Shaun Kenny Rocks and Diamonds is a muppet.

If we put pressure on him he will be bumbling and fumbling like always.

Look at the teams on paper,if ours isnt better I will give it away.

If we have a good dig,and get a few bounces and calls then I am expecting to win this game.

Cheers.

Watched glimpses of the chooks last week against the cowboys. They were flat not sure why (nor care) perhaps it was the heat and/or humidity and it will be interesting to see whether this has an affect on their energy levels (although some of their players were out).

Agree with Team Tiger's 5 points to be confident.

Reasons 4 & 5 are all I find valid, like watto excited and nervous, if we play to our best we can win, however I know the other option too…we see it nearly every game, hope we dont see much on sat.

I reckon if we can get to the GF, this game will be our toughest along the way.

Definatley nervous.

I had almost forgotten what this week can feel like

Super nervous too, guys! Gee, how good does it feel to be back in the finals?

I'm still concerned that our handling and/or discipline may cost us but if we can avoid making those silly mistakes, we'll be hard to stop.

At the start of the season I remember I was telling friends and fellow league nuts that I'd simply be happy with 8th spot - because I was THAT desperate to see us make the 8\. But now we are 3rd, there is no reason why we can't dream up another magic premiership.

The boys will certainly have to lift a gear in these playoffs and on Saturday, we're going to find out if such a gear exists!

Come on you Tigerrrrsssss! :righton:

get's the 'I'm nervous' line as well….don't think I was this nervous in '05, I don't think the expectation was as high though

Agreed, was more excited and confident against the cowgirls and the ponies, was nervous against the drag-ons but back to excited and confident against the cowgirls…. aaaaaaaah the memories

Go Tigers

Play a similar game plan to the Penrith match, keep it simple and keep smashing them in defense, when their on the ropes than do the flash stuff. Iam confident of a good win but I will settle for a ugly one.

If I was a Rossters fan I'd be fearing this Tigers side more than I think we will be fearing the Roosters. We'll be up for it, I'm sure of it. That's not to say they wont be one of the more difficult sides we have to play. I also well and truly believe that Benji is about to stamp himself as one of the most dangerous players to play the game. Tigers by 14

The Cowboys were looking dangerous heading into the 2005 finals series. Anyone for a similar week one result?

I am loving all the hype around the roosters.

Yeah, me too. Roosters are gonna be B Smith's saviours giving him his first title, all the Dally M talk blah, blah, blah…

Can't wait for Saturday.

I was going to say play more like the Parra game. Ellis and Fulton wrapped them up in the tackles and prevented off-loads. Threw the Eels right off their game.
