5 things the Wests Tigers would love for Christmas.

With Christmas now upon us now, Wests Tigers Forum turns it's attention to what our Wests Tigers would love from the football Santa….if he does indeed exist??? These are the top 5.

1\. An injury free repellant seems a good place to start. A wretched run in recent seasons seems to have limited on field success to underwhelming levels. If football Santa does exist, this is surely top of the list.

2\. The football Gods have already shined on the Tigers for 2014\. Now football Santa just needs to deliver perfect whether for Leichhardt Oval home games. Weather in 2013 wasnt kind for either home ground but Leichhardt seemed to cop the brunt of it.

3\. Negative press repellant. So much negative press in 2013\. From Benji, Adam Blair and Mick Potter. They all got slated and in my books not all of it was justified. I get the feeling with the youthful presence at the club now, positivity may become the norm now.

4\. As mentioned above, Mick Potter was slated in 2013\. Not a lot of criticism was fair in my opinion, but as head coach, he has to wear it all. 12 months down the track I think Potter will do better. He's changed plenty in the coaching structure and I think we'll see him move forward.

5\. Last but not least, I think the boardroom will get its act together. They've shown a willingness to work with the NRL and correct the flaws that plague the club. I know a lot of fans will hope the football Santas deliver some goodies on this matter.

maybe good weather at all our home games eh?

I'm not so sure about that. We have had a lot of good wins in the rain (although media continually harp on about us being a dry football team). Does anyone have stats on percentages of wind in wet weather?

im probably alone in this, but i regret being unable to go to the cowboys game. get all dressed up, 20 layers of clothes, get drenched and go through a miserable night outside to be rewarded with an amazing win. would have been awesome fun i reckon.

Wests Tigers defeated Melbourne in 2013 in atrocious weather at Leichhardt Oval. I don't know how many supporters were at the ground.

The best 2 games I witnessed live this year was the Cowboys & the Storm games at Leichhardt, just pipping the disappointment of the Storm game in Melbourne …all of which were played in damp to cyclone conditions ....bring on the rain , I say

1 Anasta to turn the clock back to his best football
2 Lawrence to turn the clock back to his best football
3 Have less than 20 missed tackles per game
4 85% completion rate for every game
5 Have five forwards average 120+ metres a week

Should lead to a handy season I would reckon

1\. Our young players continue to play out of their skin, injury free.
2\. Robbie Farah finally wins Daly M.
3\. Tigers hit upon an awesome halves combination.
4\. Tigers win 5 of their first 6 games.
5\. Leichhardt Oval update cements its position as a home ground forever.

I'll take these 5!

My take,

1\. Improved defense - opposition allowed max 2 tries per game;
2\. # of missed tackles < 20 per game;
3\. kicks, meters gained better than the opposition;
4\. meters run by forwards, better than the opposition;
5\. # of line breaks, more than the opposition;

A pipe dream :wink: , especially if we continue to have so many injuries ;(

Luke Brooks to exceed all expectations
A golden point victory
A 20k attendance at Cambo
Galloway to play in every match
Victory in the 9's tournament

1\. Lowest number of injuries.
2\. Maturing of young players.
3\. A coaching staff to be proud of.
4\. An increase in supporter numbers present at all games.
5\. Full hearted effort and dedicated teamwork by the entire team throughout the season.

Mate it was one of the best wins I've ever been at. Spent the whole time on the hill in the pouring rain and in the last 2 mins I got pissed off and started walking towards the exit. As I got to the gate I thought nah I should stay to the end and turned around. Brent Tate knocked on. Few seconds later, Nufo scored right in the corner where I was standing.

Absolutely lost my shit.

1\. No injuries to our spine. Low level of injuries around the park (not our usual 2/3 of the team)
2\. Vastly improved defense - even if we lose, no more 30+ margin thrashings
3\. Our pack gets some mongrel in them - Adam Blair in particular steps up his game as a prop
4\. Development of young players, especially with Brooks and Tedesco
5\. We make the top 8
