6 Reasons Why NSW NEED Farah...

Lol ye but Farah doesn't have the skillz. He is week and unagressive, ennis totes bullies dudes. Did you see him make Sando angree lol.

The selectors are brain dead. They think Ennis is something that he clearly isn't.

All started back in 2008 (against the Broncos) when the little grub tried to make a reputation for himself, by exchanging some words with Farah at a scrum which ended up in a bit of push and shove.

Up until then, I wouldn't know the bloke (Ennis) from a bar of soap. All I knew was that he'd been to a fair few clubs!

Farah leads just about every stat category and is playing in a winning team which must (as captain) mean he's doing something right. Ennis has been in a losing environment all year, for mine he's done very little a both club and rep standard. If players are in losing teams, it would naturally occur to you that the player as an individual isn't reaching his/her potential and are playing to a low standard. Therefore, I could kind of see why they selected him last year as he was maximising the very limited ability he has in a winning team.

The selectors must have liked the fact that Ennis played in game 3 last year which NSW won (a game which QLD confessed they didn't properly prepare for)

ive been thinking about this all day and i only camr up with one reason

1)He is better then ennis is every aspect of being a FG rugby league player

Thanks Torbizio for that summary of Robbie's game vs the Broncos. He should have been a SOO regular since 2006 when the selectors went for 'Spirit of Origin' Danny Buderus whose main claim to fame was that he could pass the ball to Andrew Johns.

As for Ennis, he has been useless now for three consecutive Origin games - and I note that the Bulldogs had their best win of the year yesterday… without him.

Farah was up by heaps when I voted on that one last night

The thing is, could Ennis do what Robbie did on Friday night? my answer would be no, I don't see Ennis as a game breaker at all.

Robbie should be in, Soward should be given a go, Lawrence should be in.

I saw Bellamy in yesterdays Sun Herald saying that he's left NSW with a great "spine" in Hayne, Pearce and Ennis and that they were origins future. Daley was quoted a few weeks ago saying something similar. It's like they're trying to solidify Ennis' spot from beyond the grave, as if it's their legacy to NSW. It made me laugh anyway.

I am a huge Farah fan but how any objective supporter could pick him for NSW on current form I have no idea. His performance last week was embarrasing. He needs to play consistent footy for the Tigers. The Tigers need to start playing better as a team for Robbie to play SOO. We have probably played 2 good games all season. I am amazed we are in the top 3.

Finally someone who speaks sense.

What about how Farah single handedly put out the flames of any potential comeback against the dragons by diving over on the 2nd tackle of a 3rd repeat set and losing the ball?!?!?!?!

We are only in the top 4 because the other teams are rubbish. Our 2005 side would obliterate this team.

Farah has been his own worst enemy for Origin selection.

Given Ennis was always a shoe in for game one because NSW won game three last year with him in the #9, Farah had weeks to perform and stake a claim on the game three hooker jersey. Instead, he's been patchy and hasn't played anywhere near his best.

Ennis has been nothing more than ordinary (everyone claims he has done nothing wrong which is kind of true when your skillset only involves simply passing from dummy half to first receiver) at rep level in a team that has been dominated in every facet of the game by the Maroons.

Farah could have well put this all to bed and led the Tigers to obliterate every side over the last six weeks to make sure the selectors stood up and took notice. All he has succeeded in doing is further alienating himself from selection.

At least Farah has got one thing Ennis will never have: a green and gold jersey.

I think Robbie should forget NSW. He should focus on getting back his number 9 jersey for Lebanon.

On a personal note, I would like to raise my bat to you all as this is my 100th post. I am very proud of my achievements on the Wests Tigers forum as all of my posts have been pure quality.

Thanks,

That was an ugly 100 Gary.

What is this fascination with getting Farah into NSW team? Is it not better to have your players on the field at this time of year? If he had been selected , would we have won on Friday?
Maybe he would be a better chance of making the team if he ever used his shoulder in a tackle. Every tackle he makes, he gets moved backwards. Other teams get on a roll, cause they run at him. Obviously this isnt what the NSW selectors want.

I would pick him in my side, cause I think we need to score points. Outside of that, Gareth Ellis is the only player in our team who would make a SOO team….....if he was Australian.

Yeh the selectors would rather have a guy that misses lots of tackles instead.

I think the reason why we really want him in SOO is:
1\. He plays for our club (Obviously)
2\. No one likes Ennis grubby tactics on the field.
3\. Ennis sucks up to the media so we are barraged with him appearing on ch 9, in news stories, as part of the NSWRL website border and in the papers with so called feel good stories about Ennis
4\. Ennis' game is statistically far more inferior to Farah's
5\. Farah gets culled after 2 losses despite setting up a try in game 1 (Should've been 2 except they disallowed Hayne's try) where as Ennis does nothing yet stays in the team after 2 losses.
6\. Farah has been one of the best hooker's in the game the last 5 years, no one spoke about Ennis until he whinged to the media saying he should be considered.
7\. Farah for the most part has played behind an inferior forward pack, every club that Ennis has played for has had a rep standard forward pack in front of him and some of the best halves of the last 10 years (A Johns, T Barrett, D Lockyer, B Kimmorley).
8\. Farah was always seen as the predecessor to Buderus, many thought he should of been selected in 07, Buderus leaves and Ennis gets picked.
9\. Farah has won a Premiership, Ennis hasn't despite playing in some very good sides.

That was an ugly 100 Gary.

You'd take an ugly 100 over a pretty half century though wouldn't you Gary?

Top points you make there Jazza, but I'm selfish, I'd rather see the Tigers work toward a premiership than watch Robbie play for the Blues…

I agree that Farah has been his own worst enemy this year. He's definitely been playing his footy with an eye to a Blues jumper which has resulted in some, at times, selfish play. He should just loosen up and play his natural game.
Having said that he should probably count himself lucky not getting picked this year in what has been roundly slated as the "Worst Blues side ever".

That quote in itself says a lot about you… and with an attitude like that, you have nothing to be proud of buddy! Tigers don't have supporters like you. Smarten up!

Sorry Gary but your 100th was garbage as soon as that second sentence came to light on this forum.

Gary you should be extremly proud

This is obviously Tounge in Cheek, His No 9 jersey is secure with his second (a developing RL nation) international team.

For Me I only see Black and Gold and I hope our guys dont get a look in for rep teams…

Shame on you Gary for having an opinion, but it is an opinion I agree with, as I think Robbie could dominate for Lebanon for years to come. They just need to complete their spine (1 and 7) and they could surprise at the next World Cup.

Seems to me to be quite a lot of people here getting
extrememly worked up over just what - I dont know?

I agree with trevor and hes obviously correct.
