A classy act from a classy person!

I was listening to the game via 2GB and I'm not too sure how much coverage you'll get from channel 9 but what Benji Marshall did after the game was very emotional. Now I can't remember the little boy's name but he was invited by the team to the game and lead them out after they met him at a training session. The little boy is dying and has 4 weeks to live and his hero Benji Marshall lifted him on his shoulders and walked him around the field then asked the boys to form a guard of honor for this little boy for him to high five the players on his way through. I'll admit hearing what Benji did brought me to tears. Whether you're a fan or critic of Benji's is irrelevant, he is hero in that little boy's eyes and he conducted himself like the hero that little boy sees.

OMG i didnt know that happened Chris. Watching on channel nine before the game i said to my wife that if that was our boys we would be in tears seeing him out there knowing he's dieing. Puts life into perspective. I cant believe he has little time left, he looked healthy, and he was a very gorgeous looking boy. So sad.

Certainly does mate, when my kids wake up in the morning I'm going to make sure I give them a kiss each and make sure they know daddy loves them. Hadley nearly broke down after Benji spoke after the game.

Ch 9 just covered the story on the news. Definately a class act. Benji's 1st action after the game was to head over and pick the little fella up and caried him on his shoulders all over the place. Well done Benji.
