A history off poor recruitment

Ill class 16 YEARold Benji Marshall as a local junior even if you dont .
Two players not mentioned Craig Field ,and Kevin mcguiness.
KM was a junior yes,but he was a very overrated footballer who has zilch in the D department .
Both players nearly ruined our club and neither should ever be included in any of the clubs celebrations in the future.

One is a Shute Shield player currently injured and the other is playing alongside a beaten pack and the is playing in a team playing poorly.

I am also going to go into bat for Ryan O'Hara. I actually thought when he played he was pretty decent. I know he was injured alot, but when he was on the field I felt he had some good games, but then for no reason hed find himself in premier league the next week or not in the side. Same story for guys like Matt Head, Junior Moors etc

Hear hear. The only thing O'Hara was ever guilty of was not being in 'the club'. He was actually pretty decent when he was on the field, as was Matthew Head. I remember 2 games in particular, 1 against the Raiders in Canberra, and another against Souths at the SCG where he was MOM. Another casualty of not being in the club, as is Junior atm. Another guy i would defend is Lolesi. He played the majority of the season he had with us at Lock. Forgien territory for him, at least in First Grade anyway

Head had an alcohol problem IIRC.

I still remember a game against Souths where he played really well. We looked a different side with a controlling halfback who had a very good kicking game. Here we are three years later and we still don't have a halfback!

Needed footwork badly though, nothing easier to tackle than a front rower with no footwork

Well Ohara got a Blues cap, and Skando didnt . Who was the better player ?
Ohara never lived up to what he was going to be when at the Raiders.Used to get smashed hitting the ball up , had guts , but not much more .
