A nice email I received

As some of you may have noticed in the RoarFEED 2014 thread, I've been working hard to get RoarFEED 2014 released. It's a hard task and it takes long nights up until 2am coding the app.
Obviously I would have preferred to get it out before the season starts, but I've been so busy with other things (such as having a social life) that its resulted in the app being delayed. It's not far away from being finished and I want a polished app out there for everyone to use, for FREE. No ads, no charge, just an app for you all to enjoy this free website.

I don't mind putting the hours in to build this. In a way I consider it my simply way of being able to help the fans and in turn help the club.

So it was pleasing to see this email land in my inbox last night at 1am when I had finished yet another night of building this app:

why i cant log in on my iphone app. is this how crap the app is? fix the damn app for god sake….

I haven't bothered checking the email address against the user database because I don't really care who it is who sent it. I'm going to keep working on finishing RoarFEED 2014 but for the time being, can I get some suggestions on what to reply to this person.

Going by the grammar its a junior user…possibly just started high school.
I'd say he's 12 or 13.

Go easy on him

hahaha… 'Peanut' was automatically changed from my original word starting with D and ending with Head... Pretty clever there Kul!
 
As it is free then just prior to it's release send a little note along to the emailer and say it's available for $20.
After he pays release it to everybody for nothing.
 
If I could even be bothered to reply, it would simply be left blank. Such an ungrateful person is a waste of oxygen as it is, no point exhausting anymore.
 
Find out who it is, tell him it's available for everyone but him unless he wears a pink ballerina costume to our next home game, takes a selfie, posts it on the forum, then he will be considered to use the forum. Then block him anyway (even if he does it). Laughs for all and you'll probably feel better Kul.

My advice ignore it and give the person the benefit of the doubt as they are not aware of your generosity to us the fans in developing and supporting RoarFeed.

Know that 99.99% of the many fans on here understand and fully appreciate your efforts in what you have developed for us, like you said for free. This person would probably not be using RoarFeed if he/she had to pay for it…and its clear that is not appreciated.

So, its good you posted this for us supporters to see...ignore it knowing we are right behind you and acknowledge the great work you have done in developing Roarfeed for us, without it us fans would be lost....

i would like to say take the high ground, but that would be hypocritical of me after the 2014 strip thread! when i got p1ssed off with a reply post i wrote the most sarcastic, condescending reply to it i could.

although, i have to warn you, it didn't make me feel better. i actually went to delete it after settling down, but someone had 'liked' it so i kept it!

usually it is not worth replying: just accept that unfortunately some people are just idiots who aren't even switched on enough to realise there are real people on the other end of emails, etc. and delete it.

I have been following the site for a long time now I have a log in…but can't remember it as I never really comment could you possibly help me out. As I said never comment but would have on this as would love to thank you for your efforts. Col

the person who sent you that e-mail, quite possibly has no idea.
maybe this person should step up and help solve the log in issues himself. :unamused:

**no doubt this person does not have the capabilities or practical experience to do so, yet it is very happy to criticise someone who is applying themselves. this really annoys me.** :imp:
there are two type of people in life, doers, and sayers.

so instead of criticising that Roarfeed does not log in for you, why not get involved and see if you can help or suggest something that may sort it out. :question:
 
Well this is what would happen if we were at a game

The chant would be " OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF "

Seeing your the ref Kul ,just send him off and keep the masses ( and yourself ) happy
 
Tell him/her to go have relations with themselves. Feel free to rephrase using some more colorful language

Ungrateful person.. WT fans should appreciate the efforts and time spent by mods in providing a WT forum that can be accessed so easily.
