Whether it is the players fault of the coaches thats what it look like.
In 2014 under Potter were 9 and 8 and right in the Top 8 mix under deep in the season. We suffered an injury crisis and a few other meltdowns and ended the year poorly. Everyone was talking about the Tigers great young talent and that they would be Premiership contenders in a few years.
The feeling going into 2015 the general feeling was Jason Taylor had got a good job at the right time, with plenty of young talent coming through. His biggest mantra was improving the defence of the team and said that was his number 1 goal.
Fast forward 18 months and I am struggling to see any real positives
* 15th last year after a decent run with injuries (defence 11th best a slight positive)
* 14th so far this season with a worse defence and young players playing worse football then 18 months ago
Sitting in the stands on Sunday it felt like the game was over after 5 minutes. The defence was atrocious, no one was was on the same page , blokes jumping at shadows all over the place. The football was pedestrian one out play. The kicking game was woeful.
On the field no one looked fired up, no passion really shown. You see Reynolds and James Graham bouncing about getting in peoples faces.
The atmosphere was so flat on the field and in the crowd. After 20 minutes I was bored and ready to leave. I thought we might follow a good win up with something to kick statr our season. People say our roster is not that good and I agree. However we do have
* 3 current Origin Players (Assuming Teddy would have made it in key positions)
* Young players with plenty of talent.
Yet we like if anything we are going backwards. Last season I would say we were in the mix for about 9 weeks (4-4 start before things feel away). This week we looked in the mix for about 6 weeks before we dropped out don the bottom.
