we were terrible.

So much to improve on both individually and as a team.

The only players i cant find any fault with today were Heighington, Fulton and Fafita. The rest have plenty to work on. Farah was man of the match, and i believe he was the difference, but honestly, a player of his calibre really needs stop taking the wrong options and stop coming up with poor plays.

Great to win when playing bad, its a good sign.

i think you are judging it a bit harsh ….playing down in canberra is a tough game ....we got blown off the park by a 70 % posscession rate , and were still good enough to win 13 plus .....i reckon that shows real courage....the raiders threw everything at us and our courage just to stay in the game tells me we are a better side than previous years .....

The have the nickname Canberra Faders for a reason tigers tigers. They are a 60 minute team, even at home. Tigers did real well to win today but geez, I'd hate to be a Raiders fan.

Mate we gave them that possession rate through dropped ball, poor defense and bad kick chase. Thats why i consider us being terrible today.

Played very well in the 2nd half… but make no mistake...
...if we play like that up at QLD... we will lose...
We need to really start playing 70 - 80 minute games constantly... like we did with parra ....

With some luck and better execution the raiders could have been up by forty at oranges. Even in the second 1/2 we had more than our fair share of luck, but we had the class to win and thats what counts.

Our off the cuff attack is the best in the comp but our right side defence is schoolboy stuff, Canberra went away from what was clearly working for the them in the first twenty luckily for us.

We gave them everything in that first half. Free ball, stupid penalties, lucky penalties, bad decisions etc. But most importantly we gave them time. Our defence was sitting on it's proverbial letting them come to us and thats why they destroyed us. We looked asleep for most of the 1st half.
Compared to last week that first half defensive performance was terrible.
The 2nd half however. Well, that was a completely different story :slight_smile:

We won and that is all that really matters.

Ayshford was pretty bad and he needs to get his defence in order. The team as a whole played poorly at times but I also think we copped some dud calls and Canberra played well when we were getting done.

Once we stopped turning the ball over we looked likely.

As for Robbie I thought he played a lot better. He ran it from dummy half and looked dangerous. Yep he still came up with some poor plays but so did benji.
