Aaron Woods Retires

He knows he made the worst and biggest mistake of his life leaving the club the way he did. He’ll be looking for his entry point into jobs for the boys soon.
As much as I hate Tedesco and Moses, it cannot be argued that leaving worked out for them and they went from strength to strength. Woods leaving had the reverse effect. I’ve said my piece on the guy 100 times, it gets repetitive to keep saying the same thing over and over. But given the way he left, his arrogance, his superiority complex, karma has done an absolute number on him since the day he left, and it’s been a joy to watch.

Out of the "Big 4", I don't and never hated Teddy and Brooks as people. Teddy was respectful through the process and leaving the club (to be honest) was the right move for him at that time. Brooks did try hard and it didn't work for him. I have no issues with him.

Moses and Woods are a different story altogether. Moses basically playing dead in his last performance for us was absolutely disgraceful and Im glad he didn't come back when we made him an offer. I have no doubt he would not have wanted to come back either....absolute twat.

In saying all of that, there is a special place in my heart for despising this bloke. I have never in all my years of following rugby league seen a captain show more disrespect towards his present team than Aaron Woods. He was bagging us on tv while wearing tigers gear on numerous occasions.

It is absolute karma that his career never kicked on after leaving us. None of the clubs he went to after us look at him fondly either. He could have stayed and absolutely milked us like a cow for the majority of his career. A horrible career and financial wise decision for him.

Good riddance!!! Lets hope our present management read the room and do not give him any future employment.

I had one of these. My grandson was about 4. He was having a great time, running with Woodsy, tackling Woodsy, being taller than Woodsy. Then he came in and put his head down and said, "I am very sorry, Mam-ma" ... I asked him why? "Because I stabbed Woodsy IN THE HEART!!" Why did you do that, Bear? "Because he is NOT Robbie Farah!" 😂😂😂

I understand the hate fir him as he was our captain. But I always said that Moses was the instigator and good old dumb ass woods fell for it! Even woodsy admitted tonite on 360 that ‘he had people in his ear’, he stopped short of saying he regretted it, but he obviously did!

For him to claim he had people in his ear is a cop out. He was club captain who threw the club under the bus. I have no issue with players wanting to do what’s best for them, but he should have relinquished the captaincy. Instead, he went on 360 every week, playing dumb that he had no idea what was going on with the big 4, making himself look like an idiot. Never backed the club, never publicly encouraged the other 3 to stay at the club with him to build towards a premiership yada yada yada. Which again, as a player, his prerogative, as a captain, it made him a true POS.

Each to their own, but I'll never understand the hate that people have when a player leaves the club. Maybe some deeply ingrained childhood abandonment issues?

The bloke was one of our juniors who came through the grades, represented Australia and racked up nearly 300 first grade games.

Definitely a career that Woodsy and his family should be proud of.
