heres my take on the woods issue. YES he was a fool for leaving and some of his comments were disgusting. BUT if we had had the chance to sign him with the dogs paying some on his money , and we knocked him back. then all i can say IVAN better come up with some pretty good forward replacements or he will have egg all over his face.

what would have happened if no clubs were interested in woods and the bulldogs would have to pay him? Would the dogs not be compliant with the salary cap?

The Sharks front-rower, forced out of Canterbury this season due to salary cap issues, was caught by surprise after hearing reports Cronulla were under investigation for historical third-party discrepancies dating back to 2015.
The former NSW representative noted salary cap pressures had been a major theme of his past 12 months after first being squeezed out of Wests.

- moses played finals last year
- brooks still hasn't played finals or a rep game (maybe city/country) in 5 years in the top grade
not being able to play the high pressure games doesn't allow you to reach your best IMO

Woods is playing finals footy in 2018 only because he got booted out. He can't take any credit for falling onto his feet into Cronulla's team.

He was the poorest fricken captain in our history and left the team and club out to dry.

Even with the drama he saw at thr dogs and this new drama with the sharks he has still ended up in a better place than if he stayed here.

Woods hasn’t proven anything this year. He signed with a team who were destined for the spoon while he was there, then gets released half a year into a 4 year contract, which shows how much he was valued. Now parachutes into a club already entrenched into the top 8\. Coincidently embroiled in another scandal.
