Doesn't add up. 1 million for a meter eater? Get real. If they threw that money at Fifita I could understand, a guy who can be really destructive. Like Taumalolo. Woods couldn't damage a wet paper bag.

Your plan assumes gross stupidity on the part of this club.

I seriously doubt this rumour but if it does turn out to be true then we shouldn't compete.

I don't think the Dogs are that stupid, they have props coming out there backside, and backrowers are just as well stocked, like another poster said, they might be trying the Mortimer stunt again to get Moses or Tedesco. Either way we need to stop buggering around and appoint a coach, get him there and get contract negotiations sorted with our players and new players needed for 2018.
 
There's plenty of other examples. Coen Hess is on fire, on a rookie contract. JWH is on half of what Woodsy wants (estimated by Phil Rothfield, not me) and he has literally rolled over Woods in previous games against us.

Isolated examples don't do justice to the fact that $1M is a rip off for a prop. If he can get it at the Dogs, good luck to him.
 
Woods is a terrific club man. But, seriously, he would not feature in the top 10 forwards in the game. And, he is not a captain's bootlace. Somehow, he's got a profile and a price tag (supposedly) way beyond his worth and ability. Aaron should do what's best for him and his future. If that's leave for elsewhere then, you know what…?.....I'll be ok with it.

If you were watching Fox tonight you would notice they had reporters outside the Bulldogs Leagues club talking about him possibly getting the flick.
Be nice if true and Dessie was bring some big boppers with him… maybe why they need Woods.

Do you know who the new coach is? Thats a serious question. Info i got from a Chairman of an NRL club yesterday was that "if he was a betting man Cleary would sign with WT". Today he made the same statement, only to swap WT with Bulldogs. I know for a fact he knows Cleary personally, now thats not to say that Cleary told him this and he could be just going off the rumours hence my question to you.
