Have I missed something? What has Woods said or done, publicly, for you all to suddenly hate him so much, except to take his time to make an important decision about his future?

It's what he hasn't said. At no point in the last 6 months has he come out and endorsed the club, said he wants to stay. Poor form from a captain.

Its also the fact that he has implied - quite clearly - that he regards his teammates as rubbish footballers. That our failure to make the finals is everyone else's fault.

Which makes him a rubbish captain

He doesnt have to imply anything the record and performance of our club is there for all to see and to his credit he has been able to reach rep level while consistently playing in an underperforming side.
This forum is littered with fans who continually tear strips off the players and the club and now when our two best players are weighing up their futures, because of those very reasons, they are mud.
This club has taken too long to get its act together and they might be sick of waiting

Some of the comments in this thread are nothing short of disgraceful. Talk about a character assassination.

The previous captain did say when relinquishing the captaincy that now it would be someone else's job to get the stars to re-sign their contracts. Well that has not occurred and the way the old captain was bundled out has cost loyalty to the club by the current captain and stars. How does that song go about murder on the dance floor..

I would be extremely unhappy should Woods leave. He's a very good prop. He just needs some aggressive types around him.
Tigers could do worse than speed up negotiations with some solid forwards. We need to bolster the pack big time and if this were to occur, we would probably get a solution to Woods' and Tedesco's contracts.

Yep its one thing a fan saying players arent good enough and its another thing for members of the team to say it, particularly the captain.

Very disappointing given how the club has done nothing but support Aaron his whole career.

So basically you're saying RF is still destroying the club behind the scenes. Not surprising given his character and form.

I hope that my message was not so convoluted to lead you to that conclusion. I meant that the Club via it's agents is ultimately responsible because how they treated the previous captain has impacted on the perception of the current players as to the Club's loyalty, honouring of contracts etc.. They have stated such or strongly hinted at such. RF warned at the time now it is the new captain's responsibility to help retain the star players - well the current captain is perceived as almost doing the opposite. As his captaincy mode is one of leading by example then it appears to apply on and off the field.

I would be very surprised if any club was offering Woods 900g a year, I think its just the media playing lip service for his manager

I think everyone is jumping the gun on Woods. He appeared very happy that Brooks signed on when interviewed on the radio during the week.

He also stated on Nrl 360 last week that his contact negotiations had been beat up.

Let's not crucify him …... yet

i think we are upset that he has let it drag on for so long and done nothing to quell the rumours or even say that he wants to be a part of the club and that we are just working on the details. his signature i think will help teddy make a decision. i think it would have had no impact on Moses decision.

Teddy and Woods have lost me. I hope they go because they've left a sour taste in my and a lot of Tigers supporters mouths.

Finally a modicum of commonsense amongst all the emotional claptrap and misguided hatred!

Why is it common sense? What's happening ATM points to our management being a basket case? What are they doing wrong?

It's easy to blame the board or the past coaches.

Whats the one constant though, the players.

Don't expect them to take ownership of it anytime soon though.

They haven't lost me… It's totally understandable there's interest from elsewhere... They just need to hurry up and make a decision because while they procrastinate the BS media storm that's derailing our season continues

His lack of leadership's stood out like dogs balls for mine.

I know he is a larrikin and what not but it's not what you need from a club captain.

His non committal stance and distancing himself from the club has been a shambles. Leading to this season being a complete waste of time.

**Say what you like about about Farah however he would never have allowed this to happen as captain**.

Even guys like Lawrence look jack of it allot his recent press conference.

It's no wonder we are not playing for each other with the way Woods has conducted himself this year. I have lost respect for him.

Are you serious? He was the club captain for the 3 or 4 years whilst ths shit fight started and continued. The same bloke who ran out the back gate when the going got tough. The same man who undermined several coaches.

I agree Woodsy has been weak, but its pathetic to say he is any worse than the previous!
