I agree sign Matulino,show Woods he had some help up front next yr,if Woods still decides to go at least we have Matulino,Sue,Ava,Felise as prop options,as long as they re-sign ava that is.
 
The New Zealand Warriors are emerging as a shock candidate for off-contract Tigers skipper Aaron Woods, after talks to re-sign Ben Matulino stalled recently.

And in an even bigger twist the Tigers have already made contact with Matulino's management - an enquiry that's expected to escalate when Ivan Cleary is appointed coach.

The former Warriors mentor gave Matulino his first NRL start in 2008 and has remained a fan.

We can also reveal Warriors coach Steve Kearney is a big admirer of Woods, whose prolonged contract saga is arguably the game's biggest talking point at present.

Both are managed by the same agent - Isaac Moses. Both also use the same mind coach for their off-field development - Moses's close mate Joe Wehbe.

Kearney even engaged Wehbe to speak with Eels players while he was coaching Parramatta in 2012.

It was there he earned the nickname "football whisperer" after running alongside them during conditioning drills and asking for their thoughts.

Kearney also invited Wehbe into Kiwis camp while coaching New Zealand. And there's no secret he's not satisfied with the team's current front row stocks - having thrown big money to no avail at Jason Taumalolo and Jesse Bromwich.

According to Paul Kent our offers to the big 4 are the highest by any club. So if these guys are leaving its not about the money.

These were my thoughts exactly…... We need to give teddy what he wants and Moses but I don't care about the rest except for aloiai...nofa....suli.....liddle...JJ felisi pasaka.......keep Lawrence as captain and we will be ok

Exactly - and let's not waste money on Cleary. We can just have Lawrence as Captain/Coach. LOL
 
Woodsy will get his million dollars a year but when this is all said and done he has cost himself any chance of being a true legend of the game by either captaining nsw or Australia. The way in which woods has conducted himself has been embarrassing for a club captain and not something I have ever seen in thirty years of following the game closely. His petulance and conduct is abysmal and this would of been noted by Meninga and co.
As I said he will get the cash but it has come at a huge personal cost .
If I were the Tigers I would let him go know and take graham from the dogs any day . A real passionate leader. My mail also is teddy will leave also

His lack of leadership's stood out like dogs balls for mine.

I know he is a larrikin and what not but it's not what you need from a club captain.

His non committal stance and distancing himself from the club has been a shambles. Leading to this season being a complete waste of time.

Say what you like about Farah however he would never have allowed this to happen as captain.

Even guys like Lawrence look jack of it allot his recent press conference.

It's no wonder we are not playing for each other with the way Woods has conducted himself this year. I have lost respect for him.
 
Well I for one hope none of this is true unless Woodsy gets his million at a club other than ours.
 
Just sent this message to Woodsy on Facebook, we have about 10 mutual friends so I hope he can see it.

"Hey mate, sending this on behalf of my dad who has been a long time supporter of the tigers. If you're considering leaving (which I hope is not true) you should consider giving up your captaincy as of this weekend.
If you do not want to be here and wear the proud jersey hand it over."

Yeah it seems like they will both be leaving but will you support woodsy 100% if he stays ?

As for graham, yeah some people like to replace the word grub with passion. I get that.
Either way you spin it, that man is a grub and the Tigers will do best by side stepping a character like him from this club
