I dont have a problem with Teddy or Woods. Its a huge decision - career changing.
They are frustrated because they have never played finals footy - the very thing we as fans are frustrated by and fillthy at our club for.
Yet when they baulk at signing on for another three to four years when they have got other options - their character is questioned?
Understand fans being disappointed, but the attacks on their character is unwarranted simply because they are being offered an opportunity that we dont want them to take.

For the last 12 months the club has had to deal with constant rumours around contract decisions with the halves and now the big 4….12 months of distraction whether they admit it or not...and for Teddy to say he wants to go to a stable club...well helllooo he and his mates have contributed the most to the instability over this period....then they want to play semis

I don't particularly like Gallen or Smith,but they are great leaders. Friend turned his career and obviously his life around and was appointed Captain.

I would be extremely unhappy should Woods leave. He's a very good prop. He just needs some aggressive types around him.
Tigers could do worse than speed up negotiations with some solid forwards. We need to bolster the pack big time and if this were to occur, we would probably get a solution to Woods' and Tedesco's contracts.

The players must be wondering wtf is going on.

So, the players should be upset that we're paying too much to the players? I honestly believe this is part of the problem. Players like Moses think they are doing just fine, it's the OTHER players that are the problem. Or the board, or the coach. When Moses says he wants to be in a team that makes the semis, I just want to scream, "well, play better!! You're a big part of the reason we don't make the semis!"

In 5 years, only 2 players have admitted they aren't worth what we paid: Lawrence and Brooks.

It's unfair to criticise Woods on field performances he is a one man band. If he had a second or third who can make meters his stats would be bigger as the opposition defence would tire more. And he would offload at will and bend the line further.

I am however getting annoyed with his off field performances. You are our Captain and we need you to take the lead in settling some of the back office uncertainty. If Wodds and Teddy sign already then the coach can focus his attentions on building the rest of the team so we can be a finals team.

I think we should try to keep Woods. 900k is probably too much, unless we get someone like Paul Gallen or Jason Taumalolo. However 750-800k is a good price, lets face it he is a State of Origin player and a draw card. From what I have seen of some forwards is that they don't want to play in a small pack. I.e. Luke Lewis going to Cronulla or Trent Merrin joining the Panthers once their forwards got their act together, or every recruitment the Broncos and cowgirls have done.

Lets face it, if you are a big prop would you rather play with other big props or carry all the work yourself? Personally I would not want to get bruised game in game out.
