Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

This interview will be the nail in the coffin for Woods amongst Wests Tigers supporters. There's nothing he can say here which will endear himself to the supporters or club and will only serve to alienate him further.

He will blame the club for withdrawing offer and go for the sob story. Can't wait to see the back of him.

There's nothing he can say to redeem himself in my eyes. Except maybe to keep his mouth shut and play some quality football.

Was thinking along those lines myself. For some it will take a premiership this year before he gets any respect back.

He can try and blame the club, it won't work because the club has stated for months they wanted Woods and Tedesco to re-sign. Woods had every chance to put pen to paper.

SUNDAY.
Aaron Woods sits down for a TELL-ALL interview on his decision to leave the Wests Tigers for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Sunday Ticket 1:30pm only on Fox League.

Fox League

Yeah, good idea for a current captain to air the laundry. I mightn't, but can understand why some would want to boo him in our colours.

It's clear that his good mate Josh has made him look bad. Is Aaron doing a video himself somehow supposed to make it all better too?

Problem is that Reynolds had the high moral ground for his story… not so much for Woodsy.

There is no way he can redeem himself or anything he can say to defend his actions. If he would've said I'm off from the get go people would've been sweet. What if we had waited for him to decide he was leaving in 3/4 months time? Where would that have left our recruitment?
It's only ever been about him. He's just played everyone like puppets.

This is the transcript of the interview.

"Yeh but nah, but the Tigers, yeh, but nah, but yeh, it is what it is, but yeh but nah, I have no idea, but yeh but nah.

Well exactly. A decent guy would just say I needed a change, I love the club and its fans but I needed to go somewhere else. Not I was forced into leaving because the months and months I had to decide whether to stay weren't enough. I can only hope one day he reflects on all this and regrets how he handled things. He may also come to think maybe things weren't so bad and needing to share game time with 3 or 4 other props doesn't suit his low impact, workhorse style.

I disagree with this. If they would've come straight out and say I'm looking elsewhere for next year fans would've copped it sweet. Instead they've dragged this on and blamed everybody but themselves and treated the fans like garbage. This shows he cares nothing for the fans and they have every right to boo. They pay the money for these guys all they deserve is respect which wasn't given.

Yeah yeah yeah they didn't contact the club on the deadline day honestly and I don't see any other players in the comp coming out and say there looking else where… there full grown men making decisions about there future... if that's how it went down so be it .. you can't say the club wasn't being pushy by putting a deadline to start with.... Anthony Milford hasn't signed yet and don't here one thing about him and he doesn't have till Friday to make a decision no other players in the comp do... Hey this is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt I'm angry there going but in the end things happen that's life and yes they do pay there money they can do as they please

The difference was that our retention of them was in the media every day and the club needed to end as the speculation was clearly hurting the team's performances.

The ckub made the right decision. The boys were nevrr going to sign with us, no matter what they now claim.

I think Taylor's coaching and his subsequent, surprise sacking had more to do with our poor performances than any of the contract dramas, tbh - we've actually won 2 of the last 3 with all this still going on, but I understand where you're coming from.

The media are really the bad guys in all of this and they are where we should be aiming our 'hate' and criticism, not at the players who are now leaving, nor the club. Not all of them of course, there are 1 or 2 decent journos out there, but for the most part the football media has done everything in its power to destabilise our team and our club with their constant innuendo and speculative stories bombarding us all the time. And for our part, I think we have been to eager to take everything they say or print as gospel and are reading too much into every bit of bs they have fed us.

Despite what people think about how our players have handled it, there is no way they should've been put under that much pressure to make a decision on their futures so early in the season - its only bloody April now and all of this actually started the first week into the season! And like you say southerntiger, it's because of this constant barrage of media speculation trying to destabilise us that the club was forced to impose an early deadline, which the players were a bit a miffed with, and rightly so.

It's time the media go find some other club to go and crucify and leave us the hell alone! The best way to throw all this in back in their ugly faces and get them off our backs is for WT fans to throw all our support behind the team, as it stands for this season, and for the team to play good footy and keep winning - Ivan Cleary knows this and so does the team. Fans booing their own players at the games all season will only give those media scum more fodder to rake us and the club through the mud over and over again.

Agree about the media mate. They have been a disgrace. I wonder if the approach would have been different if we didnt have a woman chair outside of the rugby league bous club. We will never know.

However, Teddy and Woods played into their game by criticising the club at every opportunity. And also by letting their manager use the media to promote their agenda.

There is a reason why there was a story every second day. Because Isaac Moses wanted it that way. Thats how he operates. When Pooper is quoting contract amounts down to the cent, you know a manager has him in his pocket.

Sadly, for a so called Tigers fan, the Pooper has done more damage to our club then any person.

"I'd like to take this time to apologise to Wests Tigers supporters about the way I have gone about my contract negotiations. It is quite disgraceful and it wasn't my intentions.

Issac Moses will no longer be representing me as an agent. I have signed on with George Mimis and am glad to announce a 4 year extension at the Wests Tigers"

Is something Woods would never do lol

This is what he should be stating. He won't though. He will be remembered as a dog of a player and a person.

Isn't Woods giving a tell all interview today?

Some sort of poor me, bad tigers choreographed puff piece I'm assuming.
