Have to wonder if all this contract talk is confected drama designed to place Woods in the spotlight, thereby providing a platform for Woods to build a media career. Wouldn't put it past Moses. The only issue is Woods has no charisma or on screen presence.

Aaron Woods to depart Wests Tigers
Wests Tigers can today confirm that Captain Aaron Woods will be departing the club at the end of the 2017 NRL season.
Woods has played 133 NRL games for Wests Tigers since making his First Grade debut in Round 1 of the 2011 season.
The 26 year old has gone on to represent New South Wales 11 times and Australia on nine occasions while with Wests Tigers.
Wests Tigers Chair Marina Go thanked Woods for his effort and commitment to the club.
“On behalf of everyone at Wests Tigers I’d like to thank Aaron for the way that he has represented the club over the last seven seasons,” said Go. “He has led from the front every time that he has pulled on the Wests Tigers jersey and continually inspired those around him.
“Since taking on the Captaincy last season Aaron has further developed and has become a great role model to his team mates and all at Wests Tigers.
“While we’re incredibly disappointed that Aaron will be leaving Wests Tigers at the end of the season we wish him well in the future and look forward to supporting him as a Wests Tigers player for the remainder of this year,” she said.
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe thanked Woods for the role that he has played leading the club.
“Personally, I’d like to take this chance to thank Aaron for the way he has led this club, said Pascoe. “He has led from the front every time he has taken to the field and has been a great player for this club for a long time now.
“It was obviously a tough decision for Aaron and he has made the decision in the best interest of his family and himself and as a club we completely respect that and wish him all the best in the future.
“I’m sure that Aaron will continue to put everything into his performances for Wests Tigers for the remainder of 2017 and we look forward to giving him the respectful farewell he deserves ” said Pascoe.

Maybe his injury will be so 'severe' that this is exactly what eventuates. We'll see. I would prefer he put his head down and played as well as we know he can for the remainder of his time here at the Tigers.
