Aaron Woods

When you have a prop taking double the hit ups his fellow props are taking he obviously isn't going to defend very well.

Did he not make over 100 meters & 40 odd tackles? If our whole side played that "poorly" we probably would've won.

Agree with the comparison to Heino. He seems to find the handbrake now with his carries.

He looked way off the pace from my seat in the stands, but I was not aware of his stats were so good. Anyway I am willing to give him some slack, disrupted pre season, infection in the camp and all the big boys struggle for the first six weeks.

Oh would you all stfu? He's pretty much the only guy who made any metres and was a rock all of last season in a woeful team. It's like it's okay not to like a single member of the team. Can't wait until people start bagging Tedesco and Richards when they have one ordinary game

Oddly enough the guys that suffered most from boils last week all have threads about how they didn't perform as well as expected- Woods, Farah and Lawrence.
Maybe it took more out of them than they thought it would, although they were our top 3 in the tackle count.

Hehehe….have to agree...he has been our rock for a while now.was on a drip all week and has an average game and now we are paying the bloke too much.

This website is a riot.

Woods' metres per run was down on the usual average as he was constantly taking our first hit up when the Dragons had a set defensive line. A lot harder to get metres that way then on the 3rd or 4th and they're on the back foot.

But in terms of defence, he looked sluggish. I am still perplexed over Potter's use of the bench. In 30 degree heat, I can't believe he waited until 20mins left to bring on Sue and Ava. Gavet was out there way too long and it showed in his defence in the second half - he was bouncing off tackles and was as useless as a wet paper bag. His stats show it too with 6 missed. He should be used in short stints. Woods, Galloway and Ava are the solid workers, Taupau, Gavet and Sue are the impact forwards.
