Aaron Woods

It would be highly amusing to get him back with a Dogs subsidy though! I hear it's a live chance of happening.

I have warmed to this scenario

No problem from my end!
Win Win for the team.
Nothing to do with anything but putting together a winning team. And he would add to that in spades.
He played well for us until the very last game. Did not drag his tail like Moses.
In my working life I always tried to do the very best for my family and career when making decisions about my future employment. Sometimes you make wrong choices but as long as you can say that you gave all while employed by your existing organisation then you can keep your head up.
Really ….. have no problem with him coming back.

I would welcome him back too, and yes he did seem put the effort in right to the end of the season. But to carry on the the way he did while still club captain was in very poor taste. Hopefully he has learnt from that, where ever he goes.

He would have to keep that grubby agent of his on a short leash.

I'd much prefer to spend the cash on a second rower, than on Woods.
Someone Jaydn Su'A, Tevita Pangai Jr, Payne Hass, Bronco's can't keep them all.

Problem is its Brisbane, they don't often let go good top 17 players.

They somehow find enough money under the car seat to keep them.

The car seat in not longer a bench seat after Ken Talbot was killed in a plane crash.
It's more like a single seat now.

They may lose Oates…

Hope to us. Great player

Woods will move on I reckon, I don't really want it to be back with us after what he did to us but I guess if Ivan wants him he'll make the call.

At the right money I would happily have him back.

In IC's interview i sensed that they we're discussions/negotiations going on and IC didn't want to seem keen.

He will get more $$$ going to the Knights or Parra.

If he came to the Tigers he would have to take a hit on the pocket.

I would take him back but don't think it will happen, Knights are that desperate for forwards that I wouldn't be surprised if they paid full freight.

He chased the $ with the Bulldogs and with big dollars comes unrealistic expectations and the possibility of being collateral damage in club politics. He's lost his Origin and probably Aust position. I'd suggest a chance to come play under IC at a club he knows with the possibility of rebuilding his rep career is more important than chasing big $.

This is a quote from the Kennel,
"Woods will be great as land fill at rookwoood cemetery".
They just love Sharron.

What do they say about Foran?
He had 1 run for 1 metre yesterday. That has to be the worst performance ever in the history of the game for a halfback playing full 80 mins.
Something still wrong with him mentally.

I think the next SOO sensation trumped him with 0m not so long ago.

Sounds like the Dean Pay doesn't want Woods. I think Woods wants to come back here but the Tigers will low-ball him. Newcastle will pay more. Woods may choose less money to play under Ivan. He seemed to make some noises at the back end of 2017 season to suggest he'd made the wrong decision.

During the team line ups the commentators were suggesting Woods is rumoured to be returning to the Tigers. Was thinking huh? Thought they might have mistaken the information for Mbye, but they weren’t. Oates would be great, wing or second row. He’s exactly what we need.

They want him medically retired, the comments I can’t repeat here without being banned from here.

They have let plenty go.

So they signed Woods in exchange for Graham and Kasiano but might still lose Woods. Plus they punted Reynolds for Foran and look like losing Mbye. What a fiasco!

What do you think the chances are of Woods coming back? Is it likely?

It always looked like , from the outside, that his heart is with the tigers. I was very surprised when he left last year.
I'd love him to return, take the pay cut and start enjoying his football again.
But the club owes him nothing.
