Seriously!

9 mins left on the clock and they manage to not even get to a field goal attempt from 10 meters out…

such a bunch of dumbasses.

Only the tigers could stuff that up.

careful people will say you are not a fan for telling it like it is, you gotta talk about the positives that we lost 3 in a row and were only beaten by 1 point, and how that loss will help us beat the broncos just like the Storm 14 point loss was going to help us today

The only person not saying it like it is is Mick Potter. Unless he changes dranitically overnight it will be the same stuff from the Tigers for the rest of the season. They need from their coach inspiration, innovation, direction and enthusiasm. To me Potter has shown none of these attributes since he started with WEssts Tigers .in

Not too early. Not against those guys. Chances of getting a repeat set, even that close are not particularly good, on our record. Take the FG and take it on an early tackle, before you muff it with an error. Receive the kick off and after a couple of tackles kick it deep and keep them down there. Keep kicking down their end and defend. SGI are going to get a FG if you let them into your half.

I disagree, get the try, if you can convert it they are under a heap of pressure. You take the 1, you go ahead but you give up field position. We were firmly on top and another try at that point in time was definitely not out of the question.

I think we can find a better reason for losing than for not taking FG. I wasn't overly concerned we didn't. We had them under the pump. They were rattled and attacking them was the right thing to do.

I don't think it was too early…

If that was any of the better teams they would have nailed it and if St George had the chance that we did they would have hit it then too.

To go for a try in a tight game like that is such a low % play and to be honest I think the tigers would have taken the FG on the next tackle.

So that in itself just says that they stuffed it up with poor execution.

Anasta went back to the outside when it should've gone towards the post.

He owes us a bloody FG too!

It's seriously 101 stuff that we consistently can't execute.

And i feel bad for Robbie bc he played like a machine and deserves some others to help him out.

We were on a roll. Had scored 2 tries in 3 minutes and should have had 3 in 5\. I thought going for the try was the right thing. Saints didn't have another try in them. It was going for the throat.

And for those saying that it was better to go for the try tell me this

How many teams have lost after hitting a field goal in the final 10 minutes?

I don't know the answer but I'll put money on it that more teams have lost by not taking the FG when they could have in the last 10 minutes.

I agree with that. The tigers have never been great in close finishes in recent years. If we were up by 1 with 8 or 9 minutes to go, we would have found a way to lose it. Looking for a 6 point lead was our only hope of winning it with that much time left.

Perhaps we should of but given we butchers 3 tries and had one disallowed then we have ourselves to blame in many other areas first

We got a poor record from short range for tries. Getting that try is a bigger dice roll than taking the FG and defending for about 7 minutes. With some other sides, I might say go for the try, but not SGI. Take the 1 point, keep them down their end and wait for an error to go for a possible try. They have plenty of errors in them in their own end, under aggressive defence. It'll come. Once they're in our half, they are going to take the FG shot and get it. This was always going to be the outcome. If we take the stab at try and fail (almost a certainty), they get into our half and it's game over. We take the 1 point and they're still be only going for a FG. That's how they roll, no matter what their record in GP. This way the worst outcome at full time is a draw, and extra time. From the moment we were in their 10 to 20m, at that time, it was always going to be a FG shoot out till the very end, be it regular time or GP time. We needed to get in first when we had the chance.

Give the guy a break…he INHERITED this dumb as* team...wait till he puts the cleaners through at the end of year and he builds HIS team then judge him fairly

Today was the most frustrating game i've watched in quite a while. Can't use injuries as an excuse as the amount of chances we had in the first half, we should have converted with or without Marshall. Then to get it back to 12-all, having all the momentum and Ayshford in the clear, trying to push the pass and losing it (which would have been our third try in as many sets), not to mention Moltzen's drop at dummy half. Very disappointing

the most ridiculous thing was the amount of drop ball in the last 9 minutes the dragons were under the pump and we squandered every opportunity and not just Ayshford either
