OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

would AD be able to go to another side and be a better player like
Moses
tedesco
Brooks
blore
talau

I don't believe he would be a better player even if he was in the Manly, storm, Roosters system his defence is terrible
I personally think Doobie would and should go to another/any other side than ours.
Biased opinions aside no, I think we’ve seen his best. Attacking he can be pretty good at best, but he’s still a hog and over rate’s himself. Defence is terrible, and he’s lazy at it. Then when he’s not lazy he runs in and the play runs past him.
I think the fact that he met with rooster robo and came back and signed min wage with us probably answers your question. I reckon the robo meeting was his only one and he got it into the media to help sell himself. He would have been on the blower trying to get a gig like Mark Hamil after Star Wars.

AD and Faatape
Centres who don't pass

Rough watch

attacking wise AD runs strong and has that awkward running style. In a good team they may be able to hide his defensive problems.

He needs to be moved to lock. Less defensive decisions and harder to avoid contact.

He can also hold the ball all to himself while doing some dirty hit ups

Heck no. If he is at lock we will be carved up the middle every game especially if his mouth guard falls out.

He gives his best …i would prefer someone else … but they aren’t going to be turning over half he team it appears … bigger problems to solve
Made a suggestion in the signings thread...

I'd be calling Taylan May & Reimis Smith.

Not fussed on Olam, long term.
Would be happy with a backline of;

1. Jahream Bula
2. Luke Luaalili or Charlie Staines
3. Reimis Smith
4. Taylan May
5. Sunia Turuva

Bring in some practice depth we can rely on, not the likes of Naden and friends.

Newcastle, despite its shortcomings, had a straight defensive backline in the second half yesterday.
Ours was not
.Is it a coaching issue or players not communicating or a combination of both?
Regardless of that, dooey's defence is dreadful and is a total waste of a roster spot.

In his past 26 games for us, Adam has had 4 wins. Luke Brooks only managed 3.
Is Brooks a Tigers player in 2024....

And Brooks was there for ALL of Doueihi's wins in 2021 that you want to include just to make a fool of yourself!!

You want to personally use your posts to stick up for for this nonce?

Get a clue!

This has to be a plan, or he'd be getting called out by those around him.

The numbers actually stack up if Doueihi is supposed to be on Ponga- Alaimalo is the only player out of shot & he's on the rookie.

I've noticed Galvin drops off & goes backwards as Doueihi rushes in. Not sure if that is also part of the defensive structure- but it seems flawed. Galvin's line defence is quite concerning & I think we've seen him turned around & running toward our own try line a number of times this year.

Question- would the club be wise trying to see Doueihi on the Zac Lomax wing idea?

What to do with bloke?
He talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.
Basically ,other players have to cover his defensive issues.
So if Benji believes he has no other options, two more games from Adam in the centre position.
That gives the tigers an offseason to be creative with this bloke.

This year was always going to be extremely difficult after 3 ACL's but i must admit that i was unimpressed when he was signed for another year evn though he had done nothing on the field before his year extension. His form since then has been patchy at best and terrible at worst.Next year apparently he is not on much money but i have no expectations that he will be an asset. We can't keep them all and despite his talk he is one i would be tapping on the shoulder,we need better and more effective players than what he is showing

Given the dollars spent on him- his extension was a great deal.

His defence hasn't been great, but he's not the lone ranger. The overall scheme seems to be getting picked apart with several players looking to play the part of Keystone Cops at any time during a game. He's still our most dangerous attacking player out wide.

Can someone explain to me why we had an 18yo winger/fullback with less than 5 first grade games defending in the centre while Doueihi was on the wing?

Noticed it a couple of times in the 2nd half
