I'm happy that AD is doing so well, but to be honest, quite often he gets passed the ball by someone and he is standing flat and often just turns and passes it to someone in a same or worse position. It seemed to happen a bit against the cowboys too.

The forwards, if they dominate the attack, can lean forward in the play the ball and roll forward, giving room to Liddle and Simpkins and getting the attack naturally rolling forward.

All to often, the forwards are dominated in that ruck, and standing up dead upright or slightly leaning back, crowding the dummy half and not allowing that roll forward. Its been happening all year and what has concerned me is both Brooks and AD don't compensate enough for that.

AD is clearly strong, slightly lanky and can free his arms. We need people running of him at angles.= !!

He's got a tendency to zone out sometimes (maybe fatigue).. but overall he's been one of our best this year.

He has an awkward physical shape and it shows in his running style in that it sometimes looks flat and loping and half-hearted. I know I've labelled him as "lazy" previously, but maybe that's a bit unfair. He's a conundrum for sure.

It is a really awkward running style as he stops starts a lot when running, it is that awkwardness though that makes him such a dangerous runner. It was really interesting in the Doco last week when the coaching staff were celebrating him playing short, that's because he had been either playing long or running himself. As he develops that short ball he is going to be even more dangerous, just needs to remember to straighten the attack as well and his game will jump a level.

Any game where he rememebers to straighten and plays short he is close to the best player on the field.

Having been thrown from 6 to 4 and then back to 6, it's clear in my mind that Doueihi has been our best player so far this year. Who knows where we would be if Madge let him build a combination with Luke earlier.

17 try assists, 51 tackle breaks, 9 line breaks, 83% tackle efficiency and he's kicked 11 conversions in a row...

Adam has to be a contender for the Kelly-Barnes award this year

Look AD has talent to burn and at his age should only get better but we need him to be consistent across the park. His reads on fullbacks in defense has started to improve but he does ball watch and if he doesn’t come up he is often left in a pickle & looks lost. His running style is interesting and maybe because he doesn’t have speed off the mark he gets beat, but geez at times he looks like he is struggling to keep up with the game when defending. Big reason why he shouldn’t be captain just yet. We need him to mature the right way not be rushed (he struggles with unstructured play).

Let him have the off season and see how we goes.

This is his 1st full year in the front line he will learn a heap and maybe even put some size on & be fitter for next year during pre season. We are in good shape with AD in the squad.
