Adam Doueihi #227

Blind Freddy can see they are trying to release AD so they can secure Addo-Carr. We should be the ones trying to sign Josh.

I also believe that That! ..... would be better way to go.

Im sure we are, but if JAC wants to go to Souths it doesnt matter what we offer him.

Im a bit over Doueihi now, he's a kid who looks great but theyll be plenty of others. Theres no guarantee he'll be great, he has barely any runs on the board. Purely potential.

If he wants too much money, more than 450k, I wouldnt even consider him. Just because Souths signed him for stupid money (hes on just about as much in 2022 as Latrell is for this year, if you believe Souths) thats their problem.

Lets make souths suffer they knew signing Mitchell would create a logjam for them and if they are paying Douehi overs than tough titties ,we should be making the play for Addo-Carr

Madge would know this too.

In my view Madge is clearly ensuring we dont make the same recruitment mistakes the club has made in the past. AD is one option only and is value to us at a certain price. Madge is only prepared to pay THAT price and only for the duration that suits his plans. Fair enough - why rush it, who knows what other options will present themselves. In the meantime, us paying full freight for AD will only make it easier for Souths to get JAC and why would we want to do that.
Maybe Madge doesn’t see AD being worth the money he is asking compared to the option of sticking with Thomo.

Despite denials, i reckon Madge would love nothing more than to get one over Souths and see them squirm. We could definately use AD, but at our price, not Souths stupidity.

We also have Brad Abby

Talented as Adam is,and I was very keen to get a talented junior back, I didn't see him as a fullback, I saw him as a long term replacement for Benji. Despite what Wayne "The Myth" Bennett says, the kid is a born half/ five eight, good hands, ok kicking, spontaneous, good running game and a great footy IQ.
As far as number 1 goes, stack all the fullback stats for 2019, Adam has no tries, three assists, average 122mpg, 72% tackle efficiency and seven offloads, even Darius has better stats.

Sit back and watch the Bunnies salary cap implode, it will be fun.

Another great post champion @tbones10.
AD has all the potential of a thinking 5/8 but has not yet shown the dynamics of a requisite full back.

I doubt it very much wasnt he on a trial & train deal, also thought he was still coming back from injury. Probably one for CC to a view to see how he does for next season possibly later on this year if he comes back well.

I think we got Abbey from another club, someone must know something about him and his skillset or talent because I read he is recovering well from an ACL injury...

From what ive read and seen of him, which isnt a great deal he was a good prospect coming through. Injuries have set him back pretty majorly hopefully if he can get himself right he could live up to some of that potential.

Happy to see him go. Some of you lovers should merry the guy.

Not a lover ...I'm just happy to have a one night stand after 8 dry years as a WT's supporter

I'm not sold , but if we aren't writing 2020 off , we need a few signings in key positions asap

And well get them .... but not on someone else’s terms.

Well we might not, but for me this is the point. That is the definition of integrity, applying your own terms, your own standards and values.

Do we want to do things on other people terms, to meet their agendas. I would liek Doueihi here, he seems a talented player and very versatile, but on our terms, not Souffs.

If the Tigers miss out on him becuase he cant meet our terms. Im OK with that.

If we win a wooden spoon and still have our integrity .....

You dont think they can do two things at once? We cant sign players on our terms? We cant win AND have integrity? What a miserable world that would be.

Then you question our pride and our future ....many words mean much to many .....what's more important

Where the hell did I question anyones pride or future?

I meant all fans will question our pride and future .....is finishing 16th and having your integrity intact more important than our pride going down the drain by finishing last

Why are you so damn negative about everything lately? I don't get it. Have a little faith in this re-build. It's obviously happening in a completely different way to previous years. We might come last - but we just might be a whole lot more competitive than last year. It's gonna be an awfully long season if you've given up already.

I was simply asking a question Rusty

Is pride more important than integrity

But yes , I'm not sure if this club can cope and keep whatever respect we have if we suffered a bottom 3 finish

With our current roster it is a distinct possibility

It wasn't that long ago that Parramatta won the wooden spoon two years in a row. Now they are one of the favourites to win the premiership.
