Having been thrown from 6 to 4 and then back to 6, it's clear in my mind that Doueihi has been our best player so far this year. Who knows where we would be if Madge let him build a combination with Luke earlier.

17 try assists, 51 tackle breaks, 9 line breaks, 83% tackle efficiency and he's kicked 11 conversions in a row...

Adam has to be a contender for the Kelly-Barnes award this year

He's had ample time to develop with Brooks.

And Madge has had ample time to develop and nurture a strike spine

Really....Laurie only came here this season...Benji was king pin 5/8 for way to long and left last year....AD will be the solution and is still taking time...Brooks 150 games and you reckon Madge needs to nurture him...Liddle back this year and is trying to get to play 80...
you obviously dont understand what it takes to develop an NRL player let alone a complete spine...ask Bellamy and Bennett what it takes before you make rash statements about a coach who has got a very youthful talented group to turn into a competative NRL team....

Recruitment had a plan when they pretty much head hunted Hastings. It was to get a good utility to replace Walters. Which they have done. Now with MBye moving on he will also replace MBye.
What’s been quoted is Hastings as a lock or in jersey 13.
Whilst i don’t expect Hastings to start the season at Lock I would not be surprised to see him finish it there.
His a big half with his main skill set being passing at the line. And the footwork and speed to beat a middle defender. I think he will become our version of Radley / Murray. And watching him in his most recent Wigan game playing 5/8 I think this will benefit him and the team the most.

Not to detract from the thread. Short message is keep AD at 5/8 his improving his understanding of the game but certainly his skill set is best utilised in the halves

I do rate Hastings a much better player than Connor Watson and Hastings could turn into a good 13

As I said, Madge should have stuck with the Adam and Luke combination and let their partnership develop/grow.

Throwing in Mybe was pointless.

But we had to put AD to the centres because BJ wasnt playing well and our depth was poor....Mbye was recruited by Ivan because he had heaps of halves experience...

Also: A strong voice and leader on the field, and (by all accounts) an absolute hard-working beast in training.

Could be worse. Should be ready for start of preseason

Not good a partial tear can be worse to rehab than a full.. stability down the track..

Best wishes for a full recovery soon..

partial tears can still be a tricky recovery process

Having played on it, it’s a relief he didn’t blow the entire acl though

He’s got 6 months to get it right.

Won’t be right for at least 12 months. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ruled out for next season. He’s done the same knee before.
