Adam Doueihi #227

Massive overreaction to a strong game in conditions you rarely see. Try one he created through poor Dogs defence. Second try he held the ball too long and threw it forward. His run away try was great, but he gets run down if it’s not a swamp. His kicking game is made for days like that, which happen what, twice per year?

The blokes a 350K utility.
Or shouldn't Bula have stayed behind Doueihi and wait for the pass instead of being offside?
A fine line as who is at fault.
Same with Luai's pass to Sam. Fainu. Did Sam overran the ball? Luai should have passed it earlier?
Fine lines who is at fault and timing or deliberate to get the advantage? Just accept it; a rub of the green that they weren't pulled up. Those calls usually go against us. The opposition usually get away with it.

Isn’t Cooper our next assistant coach ? I thought that’s why he’s flicked the Roosters. Or vice versa.
I thought his fingerprints were all over our changes on Sunday, especially Douehi to 7. And his commentary seemed fairly pro Tigers.
That's pretty awesome if true. Cronk has been critical of us since he started commentating. Even in games we played well he was never impressed because of the style we played. On the Matty & Cronk show he sounded genuinely enthused about how we went about things, even though our structures didn't really break down the Dogs.

Yeah..seens like Cronk has had a change of heart about WTs..funny thing about that
Anything that breaks up the old boys coaching club and adds new perspectives cant be a bad thing

Wha

What would Cooper Cronk know ?
Let me contact Fox Sports and let them know Cooper has no idea, they need to replace him with Snidest from Wests Tigers Forum.
Surely you can't watch one game and be convinced Doueihi is a long term half answer? So many questions are unanswered...the biggest one is what he looks like against a bigger pack...the Bulldogs are lightweights. Max King/Hughes props. Curran, Mahoney, Mann, Preston. Kikau is the only massive unit.

Can you understand people want to see him in more games before betting the house on him? Can you understand that our biggest weakness has been in the pigs? We need to solve that in the off season.

As @IronFist said, he didn't create those tries based on any traditional half play.

His asset to us was his boot and I do think we lack in that area, so he would definitely solve that, but you're not going to get 2 runaway tries every game.

Well that’s a shame. Adam has won games for us, we’d be collecting another spoon without him. If he’s pushed out it will only reinforce the club’s cultural identity as a rewarder of mediocrity, rewarding those who publicly support the concept that Benji is a great coach, regardless of onfield performance.
thats funny ,besides the last month Adam has done jack in the last 3 years . He is the king of mediocrity, telling us all he is a captain worth twice the price , but giving mostly nothing but lip serive

I want to see him retained, but take your mind back a couple months when everyone was losing it and getting anxiety over To’a’s contract cos he had a run of good games. Ain’t no way is AD our long term 7. Better off viewing him as a long term 13.
Fair point but I am still very keen on us re-signing To’a. Still our best centre until Taylan and Makasini prove otherwise.

What's concerning with AD and a few others, is they play great footy when its time to renew contracts, or if they're chasin bigger bucks, whereas if they played their best footy always then it'd be a no brainer...
Just sayin....
FTR, Doueihi only re-signed last year, coming off a 4 year contract and two knee reconstructions

I think May in his 3 games has clearly been our best centre all season, in both attack and defence.
To'a has one decent game followed by several average games. He has been injured possibly but if we want to be top 8 then I think we need an upgrade. If not next year then the one after.

I must admit that Adam Doueihi has me with egg on my face.

I wasn't exactly sold on keeping him going on some woeful defensive displays and what seemed at times a complete lack of urgency in both attack and defence earlier in the season with his kicking (general play and goal kicking) seemingly the only thing keeping him in the mix.

I'm so glad he has shown what he is capable of and has stepped up to the plate as a leader, leading by example,
Well done to Adam.

As for re signing him? I'd get him to bring in the Dragons best offer (in writing) and match it and he'll stay for sure.

He was out injured for 2 of those 3 years, got our players player of the year award and had to play alongside some of the worst team line ups in NRL history.
Most would struggle with this scenario.
Anyway let’s be happy with our lowball offer, let him sign elsewhere and see how we got without him.

Whenever I listen to Cooper Cronk - it has lowered my IQ...

He's as clueless of a tool in commentary as those who like to quote him!

So the club somehow owes him ??

What exactly?

You're a fair dinkum muppet!
