Adam Doueihi #227

He must be legit mentally tough. He reminds me of Scott Prince a little bit. Similar injury history at the same age. There is a bit of me that predicts that he could eventually make that 7 jumper his own next year. He's so underrated as a half. He's calm and makes really smart decisions that should be beyond a backup halfback. Even Cooper Cronk said so vs the Bulldogs.

But if Benji knows his players and can rotate Latu and Douehi, (injuries to both of them not withstanding), -- as he did against the Bulldogs, --- that's a lot of depth in 2026 and it makes me very excited...... against my better judgement.

Folks in Doueihi's pants after the Dogs game have been dropping "even Cronk said this and Cronk said that" in their argument, so I've tried to look for it myself.

He actually says all those things that most of us who've tempered our enthusiasm about Doueihi have said - Doueihi's kicking game was smart, and he made the most of the opportunities the Dogs provided. Johns also said he played more like a ball running backrower. Then at 3:25, after showing 40 seconds worth of Bulldog error after Bulldog error, he says more of what we've all been saying - that Wests didn't create any first half try scoring opportunities through halfback play.

Hey, we got played!

We so got played. Ok this is tin foil hat stuff, but unlike current garbage I reckon this is on the money.
So you have Flanagan, Payton, Webster etc managed by Issac Moses. You also have AD sign up to Issac Moses

^BTW AD signing with Issac Moses, a massive FU to our club.

So suddenly AD starts playing better then normal. I mean this happens and he always had that potential and would bring it out in a few games. Plus he is injury free for the moment.

But the interest from the Dragons... That's Issac Moses leaning on Flanagan. If no one else was interested in AD, his price would be rock bottom. Issac pushed his coaches to show interest, Payton told him to get bent but SF feigned some interest to get AD onboard so Issac's client's price was high.

Were getting played.
Or maybe were not... Except we know exactly what Issac Moses is like and how he did this in the past.

No moses, no more. No excuses. This is a critical failing of Shane Richardson to get the rot out of our club.

Am sure Moses played a role
But for what we probably paid for Douhi.hes a much better value buy regardless than ANY of our other halves
Its up to Benji to extract consistency from him

Ill be more specific....Latu at $500km isnt ready just yet,but will be one day..I think..I hope
Bud at $550k (were still paying $400k)isnt first grade..never will be.Probaly wont ever play 4 us again
Madden at $250k or so will never be 1st grade standard.Seen plenty of him..careeer back up
So exactly who is left in our halves with Luai(assuming he stays)?
...if AD can reproduce his recent form,,hes an absolute bargain

Thought AD said he hasn’t signed with Moses a few weeks back.

AD has never been one to do something if he doesn’t want to do it.

Even if AD signed with Moses to give the club a FU moment how does that really put a FU stamp on us when the deal is all in our favor? Was done in 3 weeks, is 2yrs and around 350k is basically boarder line min top 17 contract these days.

Don’t know about you but that isn’t a FU statement or moment for Richo & the club.

We made an offer before St George were in the picture.

They extracted an extra year...they didn't extract extra money. Richo held firm on the cash.

If we want to put on the tin foil hat, maybe the 2 years was Richos plan all along? Maybe he knew Moses would be seeking extra bids to drive the price up and used the extra year as the levrage instead of the money knowing the offer wasn't genuine?

We could play this game for hours.

a contract is basically not worth the paper its printed on now days . And that works for club and player , More so if moses is advising you

I suggest he was contacted by Moses and he said sure, if you can find a deal that I like, I'll look at it and you'll get a commission, but his negotiations with the Tigers were between him and the club.

He never once trotted out the "I'm just leaving it to my manager line". He just said "we'll see what happens". He also called out Richo directly which indicates he wasn't leaving it to Moses.

Could be wrong, but it seems it has gone down that way.
