been saying for a few weeks now...AD is just a slower, less fit version of Galvin. His so called loyalty to the club would have meant you chose him over the kid...however now......

The club can’t afford to lose him. If he does go, 2027 looks bleak. It already is, but even more so if we have to run with Latu/Andrews with Madden as back up. Throw in Bula who has checked out and Api a year older, we won’t get out of the bottom 4. AD gives us something at least.

I’m not a lawyer, but when the governance is this seemingly inept, and has had multiple examples of repeated failure I don’t think the NRL would consider them to be sound custodians of their franchise.

How are the inept ? Is the club broke ? Unable to pay debts ? Conducing illegal business practices

Being shit on the field and just being crap doesn’t fall under that to have licence revoked or not renewed

i'm serious - obviously your not - people keep saying the licence should be revoked but how about they put up on what grounds they think the NRL could revoke the licence. They don't even revoke licences of teams that are repeat salary cap cheaters.

Agree with your point. Revoking the license is seriously unlikely. I doubt they would be able to prove a sufficient breach in the participation agreement to revoke.

Non-renewal is the more likely outcome or option.

HBG don't own the licence - the licence is granted to the Wests Tigers brand. Much like a liquor licence is granted to a pub premises and not the owner if that makes sense.

A financial boycott by fans would absolutely trigger the NRL to take interim control in place of renewal and find a new owner.

However, if people think the NRL are going to just not renew the licence and we all just have to sit on our ass waiting for it to happen have another thing coming.

500 people at a march is not serious. Pushing for independence is not serious - HBG can strip independence at any moment (and have done that). Serious means withholding membership, not going to games, sustained fan boycott and sustained negative media attention whether we are winning or losing.

Arthur Laundy was (and probably still is) a Tigers man. He was asked to be involved in the club and the Tigers Board (and calling that rabble a Board is an oxymoron) insulted him and questioned his credentials. Off he went to the Bulldogs and I know which club is better resourced. That's one who would be interested.

I think you'd be surprised who'd be interested in owning the Tigers....

Problem we have is the multi millionaires that could all buy the club are in their 70's and 80's, we have been crap for so long that we have lost a generation or two of fans. Arthur and Harry's kids are probably following other clubs.....I have to threaten and bribe my kids to remain loyal to the WT...its almost child abuse.

Adam Doueihi will report for training on Tuesday after peace talks with the Wests Tigers lasted about an hour on Monday morning.

Doueihi arrived with manager Isaac Moses at the Tigers’ Concord HQ just before 9am, and spent time with coach Benji Marshall, CEO Shaun Mielekamp and football manager Pat Richards.

There were fears Doueihi had played his last game for the Tigers after a fall-out with Marshall last Thursday, which led to him taking time out from the game. He missed Saturday’s 56-10 loss to Canberra.

Questions were asked about how he could walk back into the side for Sunday’s clash with Parramatta, if he should return via NSW Cup, or would even make himself available at all.

“It was a very positive and productive meeting,” said Mielekamp, during a 20-second prepared statement on Monday.

“Adam will be at training tomorrow, which is a very good sign. What’s really important is what is said in that room stays in that room, that’s important for us as a club. We’re all doing what’s best for the club.”

The Doueihi-Tigers drama has been the biggest story in rugby league the past five days.

Doueihi was upset he had been asked to move from halfback to lock forward to accommodate debutant Javon Andrews. He was also frustrated it took him several days to track down Marshall to be told about the positional switch, and Jarome Luai, who is off to the Eels next year, was not the half asked to move.

Douieihi then felt the need to tell Marshall there had been a dip in the levels of professionalism and accountability at the club, and that by taking time out from the game, his drastic action would shine a light on the bigger problems he believed were holding the club back.

Plenty of teammates have checked in on Doueihi and his well-being since the drama first unfolded.
