Good experienced transitional half to guide Bud and Fainu, probably cheap on the cap as well. Well done to the Tigers for some smart roster management.

Actually curious about next year now, I'd say it's only the 7th or 8th season we start the year with a halfback. 2 young pivots to fight it out too....maybe do better than last 😮

Sad but true. We had the best recruitment drive in years last off season and look where we are.

This year and last year we were reliant on our halves especially Hastings and Doueihi to fire and they didn't. Brooks was always going to give us that average NRL level performance.

Next year I can't see us improving unless our halves massively outperform and a bunch of other players improve (like Tuopu, To'a, Blore etc) and then we need a bunch of players to play better footy more consistently (Stef, Klemmer).

Expectations should be extremely low apart from the delusional rantings of people like myself talking up Fainu and Sullivan.
