If there hadn't been all this Latrell hype, then I doubt people would be whinging as much about an Alex Johnston type signing as well. He's not a superstar, but he's a good player, and if Souffs pay some of his bill then that sounds like a good deal to me.

To be honest I'm sick of hearing about Latrell, he's one big circus (acknowledging that this may be more the media's fault than his own). We don't need that here.

New Smoking Gun getting so many folks all riled up based on unconfirmed info, they must not have been here the last time Old Smoking Gun was around throwing rocks at the hornet's nest.

Probably best to holster your guns until the club officially confirms a signing.

Also, I'll say this again, IF AJ does sign with Tigers and LM signs with Souths, which is what a lot of folks are bemoaning, you don't know if AJ was signed first, or whether Tigers took him only after they'd moved on from Latrell.

And only we’re dumb enough to give him that fullback role if this is supposedly true, I don’t think I’ve ever been so frustrated idk why I was really confident about getting Latrell but now this idk how much more I can take

Personally, he is better than any of our outside backs (whether wing or fullback) and is the first little bit of speed we have. If we added Gagai or Addo Carr, and then combined with Brooks, Mbye and Thompson, we aren't actually that slow in the backline anymore.

JAC is obviously a gun and AJ has had some great spells, most of his quieter period is largely injury related

To be fair, he has played some good games at FB.

And is better than Cory IMO.

But, yes, three coaches in a row have moved him from FB to wing after deciding he was not a FB...

I've got to say this new smoking gun has a vastly different tone to the previous one. Participates in a lot of childish banter that the old one didn't.
I still don't understand why they haven't reclaimed the old profile if they are indeed the same. All they need to do is reset the password.

NSG referenced today previously being an analyst for Tigers and Cowboys - that's definitely what the OSG said too, I recall it very clearly. So unless they back-referenced old posts or stored that tidbit away, I am guessing it's the same person.

I could say the same thing. I remember the original saying that. I'm sure plenty others do. All you need to do is create an account and chuck out one or two memories to pretend it's you.
Is it a coincidence after years of hiding that come back the day after someone asked what happened to the original?

i remember when the old SG during the potter years i think it was posted a screenshot of a supposed text between sheens and anasta about how anasta was planing to throw a game so potter would get the chop and sheens and anasta would celebrate in hawaii i think it was.
Should have seen the screenshots funniest amaturish thing i ever seen. Im pretty sure SG took off from the forum for a while after that. It was a while ago someone else with a better memory might be able to fix any mistakes i made but that was the gist of the sheens / anasta storyline.
