New Smoking Gun getting so many folks all riled up based on unconfirmed info, they must not have been here the last time Old Smoking Gun was around throwing rocks at the hornet's nest.

Probably best to holster your guns until the club officially confirms a signing.

Also, I'll say this again, IF AJ does sign with Tigers and LM signs with Souths, which is what a lot of folks are bemoaning, you don't know if AJ was signed first, or whether Tigers took him only after they'd moved on from Latrell.

Personally, he is better than any of our outside backs (whether wing or fullback) and is the first little bit of speed we have. If we added Gagai or Addo Carr, and then combined with Brooks, Mbye and Thompson, we aren't actually that slow in the backline anymore.

Braidon is a quality player himself. We should keep tabs on him going forward too.

Well yes Johnson is a New Zealand international halfback, Johnston on the other hand is a PNG international.

Like who ? We’ve missed out on pretty much every major or even middle of the park signing this season so far because of this latrell fiasco and majority of the big names for 2021 have already finalised their futures.

The guy probable has been signed to play fullback ... Problem he has no idea at fullback , yes saving a few bucks good but for gods sake if you are signing a player for a certain position ,surely you expect he can handle that situation and is many steps up from what is already on the Books .. I would of put Nofo there before this signing and kept a lot more money to sign someone that can actually play in that position down the track ! I am sorry I just do not understand the rational behind this .

Like who ? We’ve missed out on pretty much every major or even middle of the park signing this season so far because of this latrell fiasco and majority of the big names for 2021 have already finalised their futures.

I don't disagree, so why continue to chase Latrell when he's not interested? If he's not coming let's pick up some decent signings if they're available. And Alex Johnston is one. Like I said, not a superstar, but decent, better than what we have, and he won't be on a million bucks.

I don't think it's a guarantee that he'd have dibs on fullback.

Madge wasn't afraid to punt the club captain from fullback, so if Alex proves no better than CT (or whoever) at fullback, no doubt he'll be on the wing.

And if we get JAC we will have Nofo Jennings Thompson Johnston JAC as wingers with one of them picked as our fullback

Would rather stick with Thompson as fullback get JAC and forget Johnston
