Alex Seyfarth #232

I’d keep him if we have the spots and can’t upgrade for better. But on min wage and contract length with club options. I don’t wanna get tied in to long if this is his ceiling.

That’s because not so long ago and last year he was very average , but has turned the corner , silly stuff limited , solid effort every time he is on the field

Boring to watch last year, bog average
He get the ball, bang error

Credit to him this year
Limited his errors, simplified his game
Tackled harder
Controlled his temper
Idk maybe coached by Benji has helped

Seyfarth is a Benji/Robbie favourite. I expect that clubs like to have these types of guys- Twal is similar- that are clear effort guys, reliable & invested. Having players come through our junior ranks & stay in the club is important, despite fans wanting to buy 95% of the market to play at the club.

You need Seyfarth's in a club environment.

His 'bad plays' over the last few years- how often was it bad play due to lack of effort? I'd challenge anyone to find a player that puts more into his minutes on the field.

That second row spot seems perfect for him. Sam Fainu on one side, Seyfarth on the other- running of Galvin, Latu & Luai next season...just need the middle sewed up for effort now.

Does this mean he’s on a short list for the Kangaroos, now that would be a real slap in the face to his detractors.
Will do him good to mix and train with some of the better players from other clubs. He might come back a different player.
You’d think he’s a certainty for a spot in the back row over the likes of Crichton and Liam Martin….

Freddy is the coach, his philosophy for these sorts of games seems to have been pick the guys who try hard and see how they go in a decent side?
Remember him picking Lovett for City way back - weird thing is, Lovett had a pretty good game
