He has improved his attacking game ( and passing game) so well this past year being allowed to do so.
Plus he hardly misses a tackle and puts the effort in.
The type of player every team needs.

Yeah but someone else will pay him 200 or 300k. We will stump up the rest.
As we did with Joe O, Maumalo and every other player we have let go under contract

When do you cut a forward?
I mean guys like Russell Packer played their heart out the last year they were at St George, likewise a few others. Tamou clearly has run his course....
Yet there are guys like Gallen and JWH who just keep firing. I mean JWH was up for Renewal and almost being shopped around 4 years ago. No one here (including me) wanted him, yet he would have been an awesome buy in hindsight.
Maybe they are right to look at Twal and go "you have hit your peak", it's not a good idea to renew people at the top of their game... Particularly as they may dip and we have juniors coming through.
That said, with Twal and Joe O we see two players that are "heart of the team" type players. Ofcourse Twal is going to ask for more money and we have locked up our money in Bateman, Klemmer and Paps...

Maybe its not true. Maybe money doesn't talk. Locked up or not. I.e. Dolphins, Storm, Panthers, and about 12 other teams
I’d say in his managers eyes.
Twal puts in 100% every game regardless of whether it’s a ‘contract’ year.
You either have a spot for him or you don’t.
I will be very very angry if Twal is forced out.

I understand its just about the amount he's being paid. I believe he's been told his next contract won't be as much as he is currently on. Fair enough. I don't think he's being forced out. If he can find better then he's free to go. Sounds very fair. For the record, I hope he stays. Does a job.

Most here don’t want Keppie anyhow , he don’t play big minutes and there is nothing to say he is anymore effective than what we have

Way to go, tell a loyal clubman he’s not wanted so he can find out there are potential four year deals out there, then renig when we (again) work out we can’t sign anyone better. Watch Twal’s stats fall off a cliff next year. 🤮
