Thought they were super impressive through the world cup. They were particularly impressive under the high ball, great hands and good speed.

Maybe an option to replace Lote in 2013\. Although they may want to stay in rugby to defend their title in 2016.

What do you think?

Alternatively we could look at the players who are behind the current All-Blacks, given the Kiwis will be reluctant to drop their World Champions.

I see Graham Henry has retired as coach of All Blacks as well
Back on point though I doubt we could match the offers these guys would be getting
We could always train the wingers and fullbacks we have to be better under the high ball

I doubt they would be on any more money that Lote and hopefully the new TV rights will allow an increase in the salary cap.

no player at the pinical of rugby has ever switched to league. They never would , Rugby playing countries see league as a rejects sport. it Is always the opposite , generally only washed up rugby players switch to league (and yes there is exceptions, brad thorn ) .

Great to see Dagg playing FB in League, unfortunately we'll have to wait until the cap hits $10mill. He's a WC winning AB and off field earnings potential is very high

Pre professinalism we saw it alot, You can also throw in Craig Innis an Scott Gourlay

I would love to see Dagg or Corey Jane in particular playing league. No chance tho, too much money on offer in rugby,

I doubt they made much money out of the NZ World Cup IMO it was a flop from a spectacle and earnings point of view….hardly any games were sold out.

Rugby can no longer afford to pinch our league players and if anything the flow is stating to happen the other way. From a players point of view though rugby is probably less demanding physically.

Israel Dagg would earn no less than $500k a season, if he chooses to play in Japan or france he'd command somewhere near $800k-$1 mil perhaps more.

In Australia the ratings may be lower than league, but Rugby is truly international and world wide the audiences are light years ahead.

2 fringe waratahs I know played in Japan for US$300k a season plus expenses. (Which includes accom, schooling and most meals)

Altho we have no respect for rugby team like Geogia, their RWC qualifying games draw larger crowds than RL could dream of, Im fairly sure in their last qualifier for the 2003 RWC drew a crowd of around 80k

In the last few years, the NRL have not lost many players to the ARU, however Craig Wing, Gasnier, Luke Rooney, Craig Gower, SBW, Jarrod Saffy, Cooper Vuna, Fraser Anderson have all switched codes.
