After watching the Eels tonight i noticed a lot of forearms, elbows and general grubbiness in their tackles which made me think, Who would be in an all Grub team. Below is my team but there is a few i couldn't fit in.

1\. Greg Ingls
2\. Jake Mamo
3\. Steve Matai
4\. Joey Leilua
5\. Bryson Goodwin
6\. Josh Reynolds (v.c.)
7\. Cooper Cronk
8\. Jared Waerea Hargreaves
9\. Michael Ennis ©
10\. Adam Blair
11\. Beau Scott
12\. Sam Thaiday
13.Greg Bird

14\. Paul Gallen
15\. Korbin Sims
16\. Corey Norman
17\. Nate Miles

Tell me this team wouldn't get on the nerves of their opposition.

They will both get there but they need to be around a bit longer. Scott, Thaiday and Bird have been at it for years. James Tamou, Jeremy Smith and our own Tim Grant where close as well.

Cameron Smith would be in there over Ennis in my opinion. And captain. Ennis to the bench.
Smith is completely incapable of making a tackle without dropping an elbow or some other form of grubbiness. The problem is that he has made a career of getting away with it which just pisses me off even more!!!

You have to have Slater in there or you're not fair dinkum and really, I get the Ennis thing and there's no argument there at all, but how do we fit Cameron Smith in as well?

I agree with the arguments for Cameron Smith, Justin Hodges and Billy Slater. Smith i just couldn't find a spot as Ennis is the ultimate grub. Slater i can't see playing again, retirement is coming to a place near him and Hodges as he has retired would be an assistant coach to Ricky Stuart.

Both Goodwin and Cronk have a bit of grub in them but to be honest there weren't many wingers or halfbacks to choose from. Usually these smaller guys don't get into to rough stuff but over the last few weeks i have noticed both dropping elbows in their tackles.

Fair enough. Yeah, it's certainly a far cry from the old days when you could practically make up a whole team of grubs from the halfbacks alone! They're all such clean skins now

Imagine what Tommy Raudonikis and John Hopoate would be thinking. They would be in the Hall of Fame Grub team.

Isn't it tough when the tigers aren't playing. We have to make stuff up to talk about.
