Pretty much a bludger of a game. As would be expected.

Glad to see Benji not having anything to do with it…he's barely even out there.. Should gaurantee he comes through it unscathed though.

What are peoples thoughts on the rolling penalty? Certainly made the game faster and more desperate. Could the players keep that up for an entire season though?

Powerplay just seems to slow the game down It could be good tactically if used correctly though

The only thing I don't like about the play on penalty rule is you don't know what the penalty's for

yeah i like it as well Sabre…takes the professional penalty givers out of the game. Thats a great thing.

Powerplay is a ridiculous initiative. As is Jonsy trying to interview players on the field.

Yeah ive also noticed that noone knows what the penalty is for. Most times it seems to be offside though.

The roll on penalty rule seems to work well, not a fan of the Power Play though. More of a gimmick then anything.

Great line break saving tackle earlier by Blair on Thaiday. He's had some good runs. Benji having a good night with the boot.

Plenty of energy out there although it's been scrappy which was to be expected. At least Benji has been hitting them sweetly. Blair looks pretty trim and fit too.

Thinking about the powerplays Wouldn't the smart thing to do is pick the centres Try defending without your centres

For me this is a nothing game only worth watching because we've been craving footy for so long. Only one team has somehting to play for and they still get beat.

Don't like the powerplay or the role on penalty.

Highlight of the game was Benji's kicking and Blair's hit on JT

Was impressed with Blair. Played alot of minutes and was heavily involved. Benji looked sharp and injected himself when he wanted to. Thats when he is at his best. He is in for a big year. If that last try is anything to go by gee I wish I could be our left winger this season!!!

I thought Blair looked great.,nice and fit and in the action.
The power play should never be introduced, too many flaws imo.
penalty flow on is great .

If Lote misses the first few games this season, Koroibete might very well be in with a shot on the left wing. One thing he has is plenty of pace and if he's given some air down the sideline by the likes of Benji and Lawrence, he could certainly jag a try or two.

20 players in the team, first hitout for the year, in hot conditions and he still played 80 minutes.

As long as we get no injuries from it .Wont Souths fans be dirty if GIs injury is major

The broadcaster couldnt keep up with the tackle count so the tackle counter was off the screen….very frustrating watching a team attacking in the 20 without knowing what tackle it was.
Dont forget unlimited interchange and a 20 man squad helped the pace of the game go right thu to the 80th minute.
Blairs soccer stop on the bad pass....unconventional yet super talented.
I can see Lawrence looking even better following him around
