Aloiai

This is a litmus test for this club. I don't think media outlets, besides maybe the Telegraph, would blame the club for this situation. I am happy for the club to play him in reserve grade and demand he fulfils his contract - e.g training etc. As has been said in some media outlets, the club cannot be seen anymore as the club you go to for a while, before moving on when an opportunity presents itself. Learn from the Moses and Matterson saga. Unless we get advantage from an early release, he stays. He can kick stones all he wants. So sick of these parasites.

Matterson was telling him about his good life now he’s out of the WT and on more cash. Aloiai said, hmm, that gives me an idea.

"I'll get a lawn mowing run on the side".

How much is he worth? I would have selected 'zero' if it was an option.

Agreed, but how a player is perceived by the fans who ultimately pay their contract counts

Before this debacle $350-$400K is right

Thought he was going well getting an upgrade to $450K when supposedly we have James Tamou on $350K.

So did I, I guess he saw the $$$ from the Pigeons and lost his head

What I'm guessing is that JA has been offered phenomenal money by the Bin Chickens for 2022 and 2023 but only if he got a release to come over for 2021 to cover AFB. If 2021 could not be delivered then the offer for 2022 and 2023 is nowhere near as good. This has driven Josh crazy and has caused him to do some really dumb things to try and get out of his 2021 obligations with us.

Does anyone else see it this way or have I missed the mark?

Think it’s spot on and why we are happy to tell him to suck it up. This shouldn’t be about a like for like replacement, it should be about making him see out the contract.

One thing is for sure, if he’s here next year, he won’t be mowing lawns, but he’ll spend a lot of time playing for the Magpies. With the depth at prop, he’s expendable. Play him in reserve grade and run his value into the ground.

Agree mate. Though he's not crazy, this is nothing to do with mental health issues, or even the fake mental health issues players sometimes hide behind.

This is just a pure greedy action, which reeks of entitlement.

If you mean playing for the Magpies in the Ron Massey Cup I am with you. Don’t want him wasting a development opportunity for someone in reserve grade.

I don’t want him playing at all. 20th man and never gets a run would be the best result.

At least they are different jerseys. Maybe he'll be happy to wear it.

This took a very ugly & unexpected turn very quickly. Haven’t spoken to a single person yet who isn’t completely shocked at Aloiai & his managements actions.
The 1 day deadline also taken extremely out of proportion, once revised deal was presented it was mentioned they would like to know by the next day.
Was never said “you have 1 day or its gone”.
Manly really agitating the release behind closed doors.

He liked that and commented on that on instagram. And so did blore.

I'm a little concerned with some of the stuff Blore does/likes on Instagram. I think it'd be to his benefit if someone sat down with him and tried to rein in his social media habits.
It's easy to make yourself look like a nitwit.

I think NRL players need to be controlled on social media.
