Was having a discussion with a mate of mine in the us about the conversion from imperial to metric and how it would affect the NFL and it got me wondering.

Nope,there was a switch.Have you never heard of the 22 yard line.Also 50 metres just used to be called the halfway line.

The yanks will never use the metric system. Jesus, they tried to implement it over a decade in the 70's and 80's and they still haven't adopted it.
