The Leicester Tigers Supporters Forum meets on a regular basis with club managing director David Clayton and other senior club officials. The meetings provide members with an insight into the way the club operates and encourages feedback and discussion on a number of issues affecting the club and supporters.

wow, imagine if Camp Concord did this!

I think it's because the forum is supported by the club ie. it's all run through their official website, whereas this one is a separate entity.

But yes, WT definitely need to be more in touch with the fans :smiley:

Guys great idea but would not work, would turn into a rabble like some of our forum topics. Group mentality can become very ugly and negative. Maybe you have select group that meets with the club than reports back to the membership, sounding like a union meeting. Anyway maybe I am off the mark and it would work, I suppose you will never never know if you dont have a go

What i find strange about this photo:

Can you imagine a photo of Wests Tigers supporters not being decked out in Jerseys and Wests Tigers colours, especially for a story.

I can picture it right now. Balmain Bug would hijack the whole thing after about 2 minutes and tell everyone how to do their job better. Then a few others will come out and tell the club who they've signed.

i think the difference is that these clubs (ALF, UK rugby, soccer, etc) offer actual Memberships, not Season Tickets renamed "membership" like the Wests Tigers.

Membership might cost several hundred dollars or more, meaning that the only real people who have membership are those that arn't there to muck around.

I'd love the likes of Tigger and Theknobonthehill running our club!

Lets get real for a moment. A multi million dollar business and you want amateurs having a say in how its run. Two former clubs have already had to merge due to bad decisions, its time to wise up.

along similar lines is the Sydney FC forum where people can ask questions of the CEO and he'll respond .

http://sfcu.com.au/smf119/index.php?board=3.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and that's an unofficial forum . there's also been 3 different CEO's in a short space of time and each has carried on with the task .

When the club asked the fans to submit questions and they finally responded on the old forum was a good idea.. too bad soon after that the club started to forget who the fans where..

maybe if we pester them long enough someone will answer a question or two..

A meeting like that would not be as chaotic as you think it might.

As a general rule unless alcohol is a factor the majority of internet critics temper their virtiol in person as anonimity is the key to unlocking the unbridled opinion. The internet is a good place to vent for some in that regard
