Anasta at 7

Look if Miller failed this was probably always going to be the next option

As I was saying last season as much as I didn't like it It would be the best fit for the tigers with Anasta in the 7

Your right guys 2nd half in 4 games.
Look I like Anasta, he can be creative he can kick he can help Robbie and Benji organise but against Storm with Billy and Cooper on fire up the middle?
I want to be wrong but he's out of his depth at 1/2.

Meanwhile Siro plays NYC, we have our 3rd half back in 4 games. Is Sheens still there??
With the current halves problem, still, only choice I'd put Benji back to half Siro to 5/8.
All these years since dumping Lui no half (and not even buying one given our NYC halves have never worked out).
After 50 years you're losing me.

Anasta is a better defender than Miller. Swap Benji to 7 and Braith to 6 and it's the best we can come up with.

I'd rather a turnstile at half back than second row…

Anasta is coming into the 7 role off the back of some poor form, so I wouldn't expect the world of him straight off the bat.

That being said, I applaud Potter's move as it will strengthen both the forwards and the backs at the same time.

He has played a couple hundred nrl games, a dozen origins and a few tests in the halves, he'll be right.
i see anasta in the halves the safe option.
these days the difference between 7 and 6 is not what it used to be

People expecting Anasta to come in and take most of the kicking off Benji will be disapointed. I bet Braith hardly kicks

Agreed. I do think Braith is too slow to be playing half but he may just do well there.

Time will tell.

Benji's kicking game hasn't really been bad though and Braith has a good kicking game. Basically I fail to see the issue here.

Looking forward to seeing how the team matches up this time around…a chance for Anasta to show his talents and experience. I like the look of the forwards too, comon guys, get into it, show some spirit.

I suppose the other thought that Potter is having could be if Braith doesn't perform in the halves it will adios Braith

Just switch Moltzen and Tedesco and leave it that way. Moltzen is not a fullback rarely does he run the ball back from kicks in general play.He 90% of the time directs a winger around to do the dirty work taking the ball back,he is nowhere near the positional fullback that Tedesco is. And he does not own the centre third of the field in attack like Tedesco does following the forwards up the middle in support.

I think he was purchased by sheens to play halfback , i like the idea and got absolutely flogged on here by people saying he is not a half back , well if he is playing at half this week and takes a bit of control of the game , a few kicks he may be the key to a closer game or even an upset , i also called for miller to be given a go and when robbie was off last game miller didnot take controll and i think he has done ok in some games but he is not as good as our oposition halfbacks , more time for him in lower grade to learn to give the orders and the team respond , dont right Anasta of at half until he gets a crack

I remember Benji's remark just after Anasta signed with Wests Tigers. It was very much along the lines of "I am very much looking forward to playing five eight outside Braith at half back." I am also looking forward to it nect Monday as well. As will as being the catalyst for a free flowing Wests Tigers backline Braith will use his long range kicks in play and certainly tighten up the defence in the previously vulnerable 1/2 and 5/8 positions. I hope the whole team follows through on the high kicking game he is very capable of producing.

Anasta has always had a great kicking game; why on earth would it not be be called upon now? Benji on the other hand…

Braith does have a good even great kicking game especially his bombs and long range kicks. I don't think benji's kicking game though is bad at all. He does do some stupid short range drop-outs but apart from that I have no real issues with his kicking game.

Every player has theur limitations. You are forgetting that Lui was not known as a good defender.
