Anasta signs with Wests Tigers for 2 years

I actually like this, he will play lock, can take pressure of Marshall with his ball playing, has a good kicking game and most of all ALWAYS gives 110% unlike some of the prima Dona's we have now!!!

Obviuosly they are stop gapping until the younger crop is ready but I don't mind Anasta for 2 years has all the skills and what we really need a kicking game and still has a strong body plays every week…Lock one would think could do worse.

love him or hate him, he is very good at putting up very high and long mid field kicks.
not bad at field goals either.
we just gonna have to sit back and see what happens here.

he's an obnoxious whinger. watch him carry on like a 3yo girl to the ref every game. he's like hasler and thurston rolled in together.
edit - and as stated in my original post i'm not talking about his ability

Then who cares about ppls thoughts on his personality, it's not his emotions that will win games it's his ability, focus on that

EXCLUSIVE: Braith Anasta is poised to leave the Sydney Roosters at the end of the year to take up a two-year deal with the the Wests Tigers.

Sportsnewsfirst.com.au understands the Roosters skipper’s manager Greg Willett met with the Tigers last week.

The Tigers view Anasta as the perfect player to relieve some of the pressure placed on superstar play maker Benji Marshall.

The club is expected to announce a deal for 2013 and 2014 within the next 48 hours.

Anasta is said to have notified Roosters officials of the Tigers interest.

Despite the Roosters' respect for Anasta, sportsnewsfirst.com.au understands they were eager to further evaluate his form before committing to a new deal.

Shhhh!

I'm not commenting on whether signing him would be a positive or negative, but wernt we were under some salary cap pressure at the moment?

We looked at signing Mason and he was after 120K for next year and we declined due to the fact we would go over the cap (apparently).

Now we're looking at Anasta, who would surely be after much more than 120K? If he is happy to get less than that, he must be desperate or our recruitment officer is doing a fantastic job..

More than happy to sign Braithe, they say he is overrated, I say he's a very smart footballer. Greg Bird is nothing more than a crap FG, I wouldn't take him for free.
