For all we know he was just a decent guy giving us a friendly heads up. He wasn't rude to anyone, he was rather complimentary on his opinion of Wests and their fans yet he continuously copped heaps. Who knew what his motives were, but so far he's hasn't been proven wrong

Surely you aren't that precious LaT. I'd probably start laughing to if i kept getting canned by people i was trying to converse in a friendly manner with. If he did get sarcastic with people, it was only after the continual cynical nature he got treated with. He might have bagged Anasta but he never had a bad word to say about anyone, and if he did it was only after people got personal with him. Harden up

I still think we can use Anasta better in an attacking sense all this being said,he only needs to inject himself a few times a game to create indecision in the opposition.
Who do you look to double up on benji? Robbie? Miller,or Anasta
Whether he or Potter chooses to inject him in this sense from lock back row or whatever should prove interesting.

I actually think Anasta had a reasonable game against the eels.
he wasn't amazing, made a couple decent runs, a couple good decoys, a few nice tackles including one very important one in the middle that stopped a certain break after an offload.
He wasn't amazing, but played well enough, was well in line with what you expect from a starting backrower without doing anything special.
He was very poor against Newcastle, against Penrith, he moved around a bit, and was quiet, but did play in the halves for a portion so hard to score.

It's only early in the season but I can't see what Anasta's role in the team is as yet. He doesn't make loads of tackles, doesn't run the ball with any aggression, doesn't direct the team or add to our kicking game. He just seems to go Mia too much. If things don't change I'd like to see him replaced with a more aggressive back rower & then maybe bring him on when the opposition tires as an extra ball-player out wide. If I was potter I'd be getting BMM, pettybourne & Thompson as match fit as possible ASAP! They've all shown hints of what destructiveness they're capable of but tire too quickly.
Maybe the best option with Anasta would be to partner him with brooks in the NSW cup halves, giving brooks a solid mentor & also experience with the big boys.

As i have mentioned before, put Bell into 2nd row with Fulton, Anasta to the bench. Bell is a very solid defender and with both these guys in the back row, that covers the centre defensivly. Bring Anasta on as 3rd or 4th replacement and have him play as a floating 5/8, a ball player. He would also have to do hit up and defense, but use his abilities. He is a ball runner, throws some great passes, draws defenders and is a good kicker. This guy has or had a bucket load of talent and we are not tapping in to it. Just My Opinion.

Anasta will NEVER be an effective backrower at this stage of his career,& Fulton offers so much more
It wld be a win/win if Anasta transferred immediately to Parra who are desperate for a no6,& we used his $$ to extract Joel Clinton from the mines or a pom front rower.
